The Devdas Connection

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this but there are so many Devdas references and connections in Kasautii this time. Firstly, the whole show began with a Durga Ma pandal and everyone in really traditional Bengali attire and really showcasing the culture. Then every time Prerna runs dramatically from the first floor downstairs to go to Anurag, always in distress, they play the tune from the movie that they played whenever Paro ran toward Devdas. They also play that tune with the cracking whip sound during key moments of the show where Anurag is getting separated from Prerna like today at the wedding scene. Also the public humiliation of Prerna and her subsequently cursing him and separation of the male and female leads is VERY similar to what happened in Devdas. Also they played Hamesha Tumko Chaha when Anurag was getting Prerna dressed for her wedding which is an exact copy of the scene from the movie too. The only sad part about the connection is that we all know Devdas is about the two leads never being together, a class difference just like AnuPre has and they even have a second woman who loves the male lead so much but who never gets his love in return and the movie ends in the male lead's death. I so so hope that Ekta's inspiration from Devdas ends at whatever few references she's made so far because I don't want to see our beloved AnuPre end like that. For me it's beautiful to see because Devdas is one of my favourite films and I love Kasautii so much too and love drawing parallels between the two, but the similarities should end here. However, I wouldn't object to them using more music from that film and style inspiration because it really was such an artistic masterpiece

Yea Kasautii has a lot of connections with most of SLB movies...

This is why I thought Veena will prob challenged Anu that she will marry her daughter with a richer guy within 7 days... luckily that didnt happen as our Prerna is already married..

In the end they will both die together..

Pre will give up her life for him and vice versa..

Surely the closing will b same as Season 1.. I can bet my life on that..

Actually Kzk1 was heavily inspired by Devdas..the Bajaj track was copied from Devdas initially.. Because then Devdas was a rage..
