Request to makers to sit back and STOP HUNTING FOR TRPs!!

It's clear today that all of these major bloopers and ill sequenced scenes are solely due to the pressure on creatives to get more TRPs. Some examples why I think so:

1. Writers HAD a storyline for the Naveen track. Albeit one where Prerna was to be an abala nari and Naveen was her open air molester with Anurag acting the savior. But within a week, it was clear viewers are not impressed by the abala Prerna (who has such a loving family that she cannot share Mohini's blackmail with them. Duh!). So they changed track added few dialogues like the loan attempt and how she once hit an eve teaser. Also Jaan tapkaoed out of nowhere to reduce the creepiness of Naveen. But the damage was already done. Viewers were put off knowing Ekta and her previous kasautiis. THEY KNEW THERE IS NOTHING NEW this time.

2. Hence, Ekta's pining for TRPs on Twitter and introducing Hina as Kom. Komo promo and entry during Naveen track was urgently shot and aired to bring a TRP boost. Which it did.

3. Unfortunately Ms. Hina was probably committed to some other project at that time. Not her fault. She was probably to be brought only after Naveen track ended. So everyone got only a glimpse of her nikaas and then she vanished.

4. Luckily and unexpectedly (for Ekta, her year 2000 mind only thinks overly made up female vamps are the only source of entertainment) Anupre and Anu-Naveen was enjoyed by all and the TRPs as well as audience appreciation were highest during unraveling of Naveen. Kudos to Naveen actor for that! That's why Pre-Nav wedding was dragged like anything. Atleast until Ms. Hina was free to come back to continue the TRP trend.

5. Again, I don't know what story they had in mind for Komo (I'm guessing it was that she would woo Anu because Naveen had introduced her as a prospective bride for Anu), but it was definitely not what they are showing now. Something happened (maybe because Anurag's character was made so uniquely strong during Naveen track that AnuKom looked ridiculously spineless and so kzk1), so they had to entirely change Komo's modus operandi in the story. Enter useless Mishka, Ronit, completely out of character Shivani suicide, Anu flip flops.

6. The writers simply could not handle all these extra characters that too at such short notice and probably resorted to praying to God that viewers don't notice inconsistencies (if it was 2000 nobody would, but we're 2019!).

In short, stuck in the tussle between Ekta's bhookh for TRP and audience approval (mind both are somewhat different yet connected in today's age of social media and instant feedback) the writers, director are scurrying here and there dishing out half baked episodes like today's.
Also, I think even when Ekta said this season would be different she did not mean so. Because they STARTED with a similar story. I have noticed this with Ekta's shows, how they like to somehow stick to a proven formula once they have found that it's a hit. But kzk1 was a hit with its regressive storyline in year 2000. Expecting the same kind of story to work now is laughable.

So, end of long rant. This is a request to makers (if they read, that is) to stop referencing the old kzk1 and sit back and write a new story and cut back on few characters if they can't handle their stories (Mishka, Ronit, either Komo/Chaubey). Let TRPs fall for a couple of weeks if it has to (ignore Ms. Ekta's TRP bhookh if you truly want kzk2 to be iconic and not remembered for its bloopers). I'm sure the makers are from this generation and given a free reign will be able to come up with a modern sensible story with some drama thrown in. Hoping for the best for everyone involved.

All your points make so much sense. The writers change their "story" on a daily basis. So, no wonder the show hardly makes any sense. In fact, I would say it's a cringeworthy portrayal of humanity!

As is evident from posts and responses on this forum, a portion of the audience is frustrated with the lack of a story. Yet, the point to note is that the show is faring decently as far as TRPs go (even on the online platform...which presumably is watched by younger people). So then what impetus do the makers have to change their ways?

I have to say that a large swathe of people don't really care about the work that they do. Do you think the writers or production house or anybody involved with the creative process care about the story they are trying to tell? I mean they don't have any story to tell in the first place. For most of them, it's a job, which is their source of income. All they care about is how much money the show is making. As long as that part is fine, everything is fine. I am not going to say that money isn't important. But, I am sure there is a more sustainable way of making money apart from hurling trash at the audience.

Lastly, we, the audience, have a long way to go. Though some of us do not like the show, apparently a large section of the audience still swallows this toxicity. Why? I don't really know. India is a huge country with an extremely complicated social fabric. There's still a huge gap in ways of life between cities, small towns and villages. Something that is unacceptable to a certain section, might just seem entertaining to others. This might explain the TRPs. So, until the audiences demand good content, terrible Indian TV shows are here to stay.

Some of us know that web-based series are much more content driven. So, it's not like there is a dearth of talented people when it comes to creating sensical shows. It's just that the Indian masses aren't ready for it.

Not sure if anything I said makes sense, but just felt like sharing what I was thinking. 😊

Puba, well said. Agree word to word. looks like, its just us Forum wasi are the ones who wants to watch a decent storyline if not a good one. But all you see on Insta and Twitter is going gaga over the show.

Ekta fooled us by promising a different story...well its the same nonsensical majboori line over and again just with trendy actors. It goies on the lines of old wine in new bottle.
We feel bad and rant on this forum...because this show has some real feel good acting talent...but still sticking to it...and hoping that maybe just maybe storyline will change..and most of us are loving Parica on our screens...we believe in wishful thinking

Great Post !!!

Week by week they are tweaking scripts and storyline to get TRP's,

They changed the entires Komo Anu track probably they felt Komo vs AnuPre would be same as Navu track and hence added the minions : Ronit and Mishka .

When Navu track ended they should have spend time on establishing AnuPre and side by side introducing Mishka and Ronit but NO...they wanted to maintain the drama quotient that got them TRPs so they introduced both of them in same week .
And then stared the whole trp drop and script change saga ... so much so that even AnuPre office track couldn't fetch trp . So they decided to make Anurag take uturn so that Engagement track could be started ...

With these constant script change they are simple confusing the viewers and actors too , so much that now it has started reflecting on their acting .

And now again with half baked plot they are bringing in Naveen Babu ... honestly I feel even this will flop if they don't have a proper storyline in place .

I hope Return of Naveen Babu get back the lost viewers atleast ... these viewers took all crap during Naveen track because we got to see AnuPre together tab .

Our real kasauti is Ekta and star plus looking for TRPs all the time. They've still not realised that absolutely NOBODY watches their then "popular" shows like kyunki SaaS... and Kahani ghar Ghar ki, kzk1 today even though their episodes are all online 🤢. Shows like KRPKAB, KYY, IPKKND, beyhadh, sarabhai are constantly gaining new viewers online years after they are over. If Anupre will ever be iconic it will be because of Erica and Parth. We will probably resort to watching fan-made VMs than watchwhole episodes in the near future.

But then I guess that's what they want
