What the hell was that Anurag?" Mohini yells at him throwing few more bottles of perfume in frustration.
"Maa-" Anurag tried to pacify her, taking away the vase from her hand slowly,
"Did you even consider my feelings? How could you? What about our reputation? You did this for that middle class Doctor? I would have found you a better match than that gold digger. Her whole family is greedy and she is no better too. She just knows how to seduce Rich men..first Nabeen and now you... She's a-"
"Enough" Anurag yelled "She is not a gold digger mom, You saw what happened downstairs,didnt you? That so called brother of yours is a fraud, Prerna is innocent. Mom please try to understand, She's not what you think she is. Look at her through my eyes you'll understand what a gem of person she is " He said holding her by shoulders looking right into her eyes
"Why don't you look through my eyes Anurag? Can't see how much damage your affection for that girl has caused to your reputation? Your father is planning to announce you as the next heir of Basu industries and here you are tailing behind that middles class doctor, Can't you see she is just behind your money? Can't you see that she is not suitable for you? What has happened to you Anurag, now you don't seem to care about your reputation like you did before, Why Anu ?Why?" She asked shaking his shoulders vigorously.
"Love." He said calmly.
"Love?" Mohini asked shocked removing her hands from his shoulders.
"Yes mom. I love Prerna, She is of utmost importance to me, I don't care what people think and say anymore. Because I love her and that what matters. "
"Oh" Mohini whispered as her back hit the wall, still in shock, She knew her son was bewitched by Prerna but she hadn't thought was that he would fall this deep into abyss.
"I know you are shocked but this is the truth I also know that you'll come around. You just need some time and space."
"I don't accept this. I don't accept your relation." She said looking into his eyes.
"Then we'll fight for your acceptance." He said walking out of the room leaving a bewildered Mohini behind.
