A popular adage goes, "once bitten, twice shy". It took Anu a record three times to be shy of committing a blunder yet again. This time he knows better than to alert Naveen and Madhuri to his next move.
There were other key incidents that happened in today's episode, what with Shivani coming across the eviction notice sent by Mohini and coming to realize the actual reason behind Prerna being so bull-headed about getting married to Naveen. In today's episode, it seems she doesn't want to confront Prerna with the same, but precap shows she and Pre do have a heated fight over why she didn't tell anyone about it. I hope there will be no Kasam nonsense preventing Shivani from blurting the truth. In fact, I fully suspect something will happen at the last minute and we will see yet another majboor Sharma (after Pre, of course) succumbing to the vicissitudes of life. Because if Shivani were to succeed in what she plans to do now, there will, of course, be a massive showdown between Mohini and Sharma family and/or Mohini and Anurag or at least Mohini and Moloy. Then the wedding would get canceled, and that would be too simplistic. That wouldn't create the urgency where Anurag would have to do something drastic- like replace Naveen at the mandap or something like that..the conflict angle wouldn't be as strong if Shivani succeeded in telling Anurag about it.
Apart from these dramatic revelations, there are two things that really moved me today.
1. The sight of Anu sleeping like a baby, and the morning sun grazing his face. Just that. Parth looks so so good even when he isn't emotingđđ
2. Despite how mean, bitchy and villainous Mohini is, the way she stood beside Anu's bed, watching him sleep, regretting having slapped him a day ago, silently asking him to forgive her...and the way she burst out crying when she finally couldn't hold it in any longer...she really does love Anu the most in the world. That feeling of despair, that you actually had to lash out on your child - obedient and dutiful and responsible and all of that like Anu is - can be heartbreaking for parents. They know why they did what they did, but they cannot believe they did that...after all, that was their golden child.
And here I don't use the term in a nasty or sarcastic manner. Anu IS gold.
I mean, HE got slapped for standing up for the truth and trying to expose an arsehole like Naveen, and yet, he was the one apologizing to his mother that he felt sad that she had to do what she did coz he did get out of control...the level of maturity Anu has, and the genuine empathy he has of people's motivations and actions is outstanding. I've rarely seen such a male character on TV. To be able to do this, a man has to shed his cloak of worldly masculinity and drop his ego. Anu does it, effortlessly, and with so much sincerity.
I love how simply he states things. No embellishments. He could be hurt, broken, defeated or anything else that doesn't make starting over all again and loving someone easy or natural. But he makes it look so. For him, it doesn't hit a roadblock - neither with Mohini nor with Prerna.
Come to think of it, this isn't very different from what Pre is and what she did months ago. When she decided to marry Naveen, Veena first absolutely lost her cool and was in shock. From what I remember, there was a huge Hungama in Sharma parivaar at that point of time, Pre even got slapped and rebuked by her mother. And yet, in the days going forward, we saw no change in how Pre dealt with her family. There was love, there was understanding, despite an apparent quietness and a reluctance to answer her family member's stares, there was empathy for her parents...she knew where they were coming from. But then, she just had to do what she had to do. Which is why Veena said she couldn't help loving Prerna, despite being so angry and disappointed with her.
Anu and Pre...dono hi pyaare hain. Anu ek type ka bewakoof hai, Pre ek type ki. Both wear their heart on their sleeves, at least when it comes to family. Both are sentimental, emotional.
Aise bacchon pe kise pyaar nahin aaegađđ
Maybe that's why Sharma's dadi can't take her mind off AnuPre jodi. Keeping aside the fact that she looks and sounds too sprightly for her age (almost like the makers couldn't find a spare actor and dressed up a 40+ lean woman as a 70+ old ladyđđ, I mean her body language is just too cool and casual for a woman portraying that age), what she's seen transpire between Anu and Pre is what we all want. Obviouslyđ Anu jaise Pre ko taadta hai, anybody will suggest ki bhaiyya bhaag jao dono.
Matlab, peecha hi nai chhod rahi hain.
Yahan Anu macho boy banke na na karte ja raha hai, aur wahan woh use bhagane ke, shaadi karne ke ideas diye jaa rahi haiđ
Point is - Will Anu take up the "advice"?đł
PRECAP - Yeh lo! Anu tripped on the carpet or something and fell on Pre, resulting in them both having an intense eyelock sesh right on the bed. I wish koi dekh le unheđđ And if we haven't caught the drift already, Anu ki haldi bhi wahin ho gayi. Navu stepni ban gaya hai apni hi shaadi meinđđ
P.S. Why is Anu flaunting his bare torso? Iss avastha mein pahucha kaise?đđ
P.S. 2 Loved what Erica wore today. Off-white lehenga-choli, with a bright yellow dupatta, yellow feather earrings and yellow maang teeka, she looked way fresh...and pretty. Anu wasn't the only one looking at her with admiration, we all weređłđł
