^^ The friend track was not introduced out of blue , it was a sub track to the main naveen Track which gave the opportunity to bring Anu-Prerna close . It affirmed Anurag's belief that Girl like Prerna who can go to any extent for Love , how can someone like her get herself into alliance where there is No Love at all . Plus it was here that naveen Political connection was established and Naveen involved in some kind of sex racket was revealed . So Neveen and Jaan being the black was there ALWAYS !!! .
But I do agree with you , They brought this Naveen track way to early . Audience had not even know Prerna properly plus Honestly Erica DID NOT made Huge impact as Prerna either which someone like Mohini Basu did Right from first epi. So that disconnect was there and then immediately next week we have thsi sacrifice drama .
Ekta always introduces her Heroine as Strong Woman , this is first time I have seen Ekta having such weak to an extent dumb female lead character. It's Shocking actually .
Don't know if it was the 1st week TRP and less impact of Lead Heroine that made the Creatives jump to Anurag focussed track , Can' say !!!
However I would like to add one thing here, in serial Actor do have the capability to change the script in their Favour .
In kavyanjali after 1 week the lead actor was changed when Ekta saw he was not able to give the desire result . Heck in KZK 1 itself , Bajaj was introduced as Negative character but his Impact was soo strong that script as changed to favour him , all his deeds were white washed and he became the Male Lead .
