I am all for having as many Anurag Prerna moments as possible but two very filmy dances in a few days when she is engaged to someone else. Even in my very chilled out world, people would be sayin W*F! Just as I think the writers are getting it right, they give us a mish mash of an episode.

I would be very confused if I was prerna - any overture from her to Anurag is always on the right side of the line that divides friendship and love. Her actions are confused but not improper. Anurag entering her room at night, pushing and shoving her, doing pujas with her but then always saying there is nothing when she asks him.

And finally this may be just me but I am NOT liking Anurag always saying that he is right and knows best to his small Dimaag Prerna. Enough with the manhandling her. Writers we like a hero who knows what he wants but there is a thin line between a confident man and an overconfident man. Please keep Anurag in the right side.

Hii
Been a silent reader here all dis while but couldn't help posting a reply.

I agree to a lot of points you made here. But I try to ignore it while watching and you should try dt too.
See since it's a Ekta's show...you are bound to get songs and dances...much more dn situationally required .I'm not saying dt I don't enjoy d anupre moments...I really do...but it's typical of Ekta's shows to celebrate every occasion wid grandeur and lace it wid songs and dances.

So enjoy d show for what you like and forget d rest (if you can 😊)

I love Anurag's characterisation in d show ( which I can't say for most of Ekta's heroes. No offence to anyone). About him thinking dt he is always right...d fact dt Prerna deliberately wants to marry a person who he knows for a fact is evil is making him say all dis.

I know it's ekta mata's show .. And I am always apprehensive about Parica chemistry being abused as a tool to get trp.
But this dance could have portayed beautifully with believable back story If the Cvs were not so lazy and impatient to cash on Anupre moments

And Anurag is very aware of every pooja ritual as he was portaryed in first epi. The pooja sequence was hastily wriiten also.. Looked like that.. But I digested that, I was ready to digest their Dance and moments where Prerna's dialogue was mismatched. But the way Mohini was clapping after their dance like a proud mother who has Dementia instead of The daadi ... I could not digest the episode at all.. 🤓

I see where you are coming from , but I just thought of sharing my perspective .
In Anurag , at the moment I just see desperation .
Every move is way different from his usual cold , aloof and detached self .
It's for the first time he has felt so strongly about someone other than his family , and they are already in trouble .
He has seen her cry , he has seen her tell him stay out of it .
He has seen her tell him she was forced , he has seen fight with him for the creep as well .
He has seen her reactions to him .
At the end of the day , his favour wins , and that's what he sees .
He is making a promise everyday , but all that I see is a guy who can stand for his people , who will stand for his people .
The much discussed scene , where he goes to meet Prerna is labelled as "beyond his limits for friends , especially engaged ".
One simple question , which friend goes to the extent as Anurag does to break their marriage ?
Go against their family ?
More over , since all of this is being said in context of Anurag only , how can a guy like Anurag who lives for his family do that ?
He is constantly told by his sister " I see what's brewing ... , he could surely get affected . But , he knows what's more important .

He danced with her , because well previously when he didn't interfere , it didn't suit his knight in shining armour image .

At the end of the day , the only flaw I see in Anurag is that he is overprotective , and he surely will be .
But well , I don't mind 😆

My responses in bold.

Eta: something went wrong with my settings.. I don't know why every other word starts with capital letter..

Both the dances were unnecessary for me.. the second one more so.. my issue is not with them dancing because she is engaged to someone else.. I don't give a damn for her engagement to naveen. It's the setting.. dancing a close dance with a guy on her engagement in front of everybody when u have been claiming u marrying put of ur own wish.. And then after a pooja.. had they been private moments or in college it was perfectly alright..

I would be very confused if I was prerna - any overture from her to Anurag is always on the right side of the line that divides friendship and love. Her actions are confused but not improper. Anurag entering her room at night, pushing and shoving her, doing pujas with her but then always saying there is nothing when she asks him.

I think the idea there was to show anurag is missing her and badly wants to see her immediately. They could have easily had him call her to meet somewhere and she sneaking out. Him climbing her balcony with a conveniently.placed ladder right below her balcony ( did anurag get that ladder too?) was ridiculous. Such scenes didn't even come out cute so i dknt know what the writers were thinking.

And finally this may be just me but I am NOT liking Anurag always saying that he is right and knows best to his small Dimaag Prerna. Enough with the manhandling her. I do not mind him saying he is right currently because he IS right and prerna is so uncooperative and passive that it is bound to be frustrating. Hope it doesn't become a habit and annoying.

If they r developing anurag because they saw how audience liked him as the straightforward strong guy.. then they should remember that he was ASSERTIVE and NOT AGRESSIVE and that is precisely why most liked him because he was unlike every other aggressive ML of TV.. the damage is not done.. there Have Been Couple Of Instances Which Can Still Be Explained Away By my The Situation.. I Hope They Are Careful .

The Problem Is I Feel The Writers Are Desparate.. The Trps Are FallIng Every Week And They Are Probably Misguided Thinking If They Show Jealousy Scenes And Random Dances Then Shippers Will Be Happy. I Feel They Think Chalo Koi Jealousy Wala Scene Daaldo Then Think Of A Contrived Way To Arrive At That Scene. After PracticallyTelling Anurag She Is Marrying Naveen Out Of Some Majboori Why On Earth Will Prerna Say She Wrote A Love Letter To Navu.. Maula Kuch Bhi . . She Could Have Said It Was Something Personal Which She Didn't Want Shivani To Read And So She Started Teasing Prerna .. Kam se Kam Situations Toh Logical Likho . .

I Have Said This Before The Last Episode Where Anu Prerna Scenes Flowed Organically To Me And Where I Can Connected With Them As A Pair Was The Changing Room Episode. Their Behavior And Attitude Was A Natural Progression of The Previous Episode That Was The Adaan Pradaan Episode. Anu Knew Prerna Is Not Like That But Still Is Bothered About The Cheque So Asks Her Straight.. When She Says To Mind Your Own Business He Is Angry And Taunts Her.. Yet Cares For Her Too And Shows It.. That I Loved.. There Was No Aggressiveness.

For Me After This Episode It's Pretty Much Been Downhill.

You say some of the points much better than me. It's not that I don't want romantic / confused moments... but it is not realistic for these moments to always be so public. It would be so cute if they kept having private moments including a private dance? Why is Veena not asking her daughter what is going on?

But more than that Anurag's slip from assertive to aggressive is really bugging me. He is such a nice hero with all the nice elements one hopes for and never gets in Indian TV serials. Rich but not snobbish, educated, kind, respectful, shy... why do they have to spoil it!!!

I agree Anu has become aggressive and I like the assertive and understanding Anu much better. But if you wish to find a reason for it, you could say he is having a one track mind now, saving Pre. His attempts to expose Nav didn't find the desired result and he wanted clarification as to if she planned to go ahead with the wedding, if that is exactly what she wanted. I guess his words to her "koi tumhe aake nahi samja sakta jo mein tumse sun na chahta hoon" is along those lines. He does say that he had decided to give up his plans to stop the wedding if she wanted to go ahead with it.
But the moment the word 'majboor' enters his attitude changed. I guess it is his frustration that is bringing out the aggression. Though I want the assertive Anu back, I can reason out this aggression.
