"What's stopping you, Prerna? Kya rok raha hai, tumhe?"
He held her gaze until she looked away. His heart, once again, had refused to believe that marrying Navin Babu was her wish. Her every attempt of making herself look happy with it went in vain when he could clearly sense something was wrong.
"Something is wrong, Prerna."
Adamant, he was still sticking to what he was feeling irrespective of Prerna's uncountable says about how everything was fine.
Fine? Everything is anything but fine, Prerna and I can just feel it. When was the last time he felt so restless and helpless? He couldn't remember.
"When I hold your hand, you never try to get off it but whenever Navin Babu touches you, the discomfort is there. I can just see it, Prerna. Trust me just once. Everyone will stand by you. I am with you. Kya problem hai?"
Desperately, he urged her to let out everything to him, again. Her hand was still in his hold and she hadn't yet made a try to pull it back until everything flashed before her eyes right from watching her Baba getting miserable under the burden of the loan to her KakiMaa sending a notice to empty the home to agreeing to marry Navin Babu, sacrificing her everything for her family.
"Anurag, please. Stop interfering in my life."
Slightly taken aback with her instant change of tone, he stared at her, dejected. Rising on her feet, she walked forward, away from him and he did the same, following her actions.
A while passed in silence.
"Bura lagta hai to kyu karti ho?"
She knew where he was hinting. It just took him a glance at her to know she wasn't much happy with the way she talked to him.
"Tum baar baar kyu puchte ho?"
Why don't you understand, Anurag? She did not like upsetting him but he was leaving no other option for her.
"Mai ye apni khushi se kar rahi hu. Pyar ke liye hi kar rahi hu. Aur kuch sunna hai?"
Understand, Anurag, please. Don't make it hard for me more than it already is.
"Ye... Ye sab, aise rudely baat karna... ek cover up hai, right? Listen Prerna, tum batana nahi chahti, thik hai lekin pata to mai laga kar rahunga. I... I saw the pain in your eyes when Rajesh Uncle were..."
His voice trailed as he left the rest of the sentence unfinished, not willing to say it again knowing it would just hurt her.
"Jab tak mai vajah jaan nahi leta, tumhe Navin Babu se shadi nahi karne dunga, Prerna."

I want Anurag to support his Mom. Like his Mom is saying mai ye shadi tod kar rahungi... I want Anurag to say mai tumhe ye shadi nahi karne Dunga. 😆 😆😆
