Just a thought, like i posted here before may be she is trying to buy some time. She didn't take the cheque just wanted that mama to use his influence on the family.

So may be she will use the 20 days to make arrangements to repay the debt.

Muh ki baat cheen li. I stared celebrating thinking for once everything is being revealed so soon and then realised it must be dream. I was so sure that it is dream ki mujhse aage ni dekha gaya and I switched off the tv in disappointment 😭. And it seems i was right.
