Important - DO NOT IGNORE!!

I used to think that this section was one of the politest and friendliest in the forum, especially in welcoming new members to our community. Sadly, I was once again proved wrong, as I disbelievingly read page after page of members not only attacking a new member, but ALSO AN ACTOR OF THIS SHOW. Have you guys ever read I-F's COC?? More to the point, have you ever interacted with people who aren't necessarily your friends?!! You don't have to like every person that you come across on this forum, but just as in life, you DO have to make sure that you conduct yourselves in a proper manner. There's a saying that you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar - if you can't do that and if you don't like someone, you can at the very least stay away from them, at least on a public forum like this when you can very easily switch off your PC and move away. I was disgusted by the efforts of a few members, who always bombard me with PMs when their favourite actors are being bashed by other members and complain about the unfairness of it all. Well guess what? You've just gone and done the same thing!! You may not like a certain actor or character, but it is NOT fair to their fans for you to abuse them in any way, and then laugh about it.

It seems to me that some members of this section have forgotten the basic courtesies of an internet forum like this, so let me remind you:

1. Absolutely NO bashing/attacking of a character or especially an actor. In the course of a show like this, many twists and turns will take place which will mean that certain characters turn good/evil/whatever...and to discuss those critically is fine. That's what the forum is for. We know that negative characters will more often than not attract negative comments, and as long as these are restricted to the show, this is fine. But when it becomes personal, then you are treading a very fine line. I-F does NOT tolerate bullying of any kind, and there will be dire consequences for those who do not comply to this rule.

2. USE the THANK YOU button. Posting "thanks", "tfs" and other variants throughout the forum is considered as spamming, and does not generate discussion. If you search through the first 2 pages of the section right now, you will see that the majority of posts that have come to the front are nothing but "thank you"s that could have been avoided. USE the 'Thank You' button, or risk being warned through PM.

3. PLEASE check before posting yet another topic on the same subject. In the last 3 days, a dozen or more topics have been posted with the subject "Devki has returned". This clutters up the forum and spreads the discussion very thin. If a topic that you are interested in has already been posted, PLEASE post your comments on that thread itself, rather than making a new post for it. This will concentrate all discussion in that one thread, and would save the mods a heck of a time monitoring it too.

4. POST IN THE RIGHT PLACES. We have a HELP DESK for members who wish to ask any question about the show or the forum - please use it!! New members may be unaware of this thread, so with them we exercise patience and point them into the right thread. But it staggers disbelief that regular and more experienced members of this section will continue to post new threads and ask questions in those. The same thing goes for pictures - we have galleries for everything imaginable in this section, so post pictures in the right places. If pics are accompanied by articles, then it is fine to post them in the main forum. Otherwise, pictures are posted in the correct galleries and/or the appreciation thread(s) of the relevant actors.

I am sorry if this sounds belligerent or unduly harsh - believe me, this applies to only a handful of members who have sorely disappointed me with their conduct in the last few weeks. But I do not think that it is fair, to me or to other members, to have to come online any day of the year and be faced with what I was faced with today.
