Herez an article on Naman (Nehaal)
Prime time heartthrob Naman Shaw is one of those fortunate ones who's juggling, not one but two TRP-topping shows at the same time — Kasautii Zindagi Kay and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi .
A Kolkata boy, Naman claims to have always wanted to face the camera some day. So when his supportive mom encouraged him to get into modelling, it was a step forward for him.
And winning the 'Best Smile' Award in a national beauty pageant in 2003 finally en-couraged him to seriously pursue his dreams.
Unlike a lot of his contemporaries who claim that they find it tough to cope with the gruelling demands of their career Naman modestly says, working for one production house makes it easy to balance his work-life. "Both my shows are being made by the same production house. They take care of my schedules and so, it's not at all difficult for me to manage work," says Naman.
He has no problems when people label him as soap queen Ekta Kapoor's blue-eyed boy. Naman says, "I am not hard-working. I have been very lucky till date. I have seen people struggling to get a foot hold in the entertainment industry. I have just got everything."
Like every budding television actor, Naman also has dreams of making it big on the silver screen. "I would love to be part of Bollywood, but am also ready to wait for a good opportunity to come my way," quips Naman who idolises Shah Rukh Khan for his energy and admires Akshay Kumar for his fantastic comic timing.
Naman is trying very hard to get a macho image on small screen and claims he's "working out at least three days a week. In fact, I do have a good body, but I want a perfect one."
And does he fear competition? "Contemporary television industry appreciates good work. With more and more channels coming up, there's enough work and good money for all actors," says Naman on a parting note.
We hope you heard that one guys!
