You've stuck to the 'good samaritan' image of Kasautii's Anurag. Does it always work to your advantage?
After working in Kasautii for almost four years it has become my identity. I'm not complaining but that is not what I'm all about.

There is more to me than that and there is lots more that I can do apart from being the 'good Samaritan.' For instance I'm itching to do a full fledged negative role.


So, what is stopping you from doing that?
Nobody thinks that I can do justice as an action hero. My friends and directors just laugh it off. They think I don't have the looks and the personality to carry it off.

But, I'm damn confident about my capabilities andbelieve that acting is all about getting into the skin of a character. Does anyone know that I'm a good dancer?

I'm also trained at martial arts and hence can do action oriented stuff. It is sad that all people write about is my affairs and my women. They certainly aren't my claim to fame.


But, aren't you more are famous for your affairs than your acting prowess?
These allegations are based on assumptions. I've never confirmed my so-called relationships with the women I'm linked to. These are mere speculations and media is having a ball with that.

I get dragged into the mess because everyone knows that I'm a prankster. From my co-stars to the technicians to the spot boys, they've all been the butt of my practical jokes at some point.

By nature I'm a friendly guy, this is often misinterpreted. Here again I'm not saying that I've never had a relationship, but it has never been with an actress.


You don't sound convincing. After Shweta Tiwari, Gitanjali Thakker and Moon Moon, it is Urvashi Dhalakia that you are linked to...
I interact with these women on a daily basis, they are my co-stars and we work together all the time.

I've never felt the need to defend myself because it is pointless. Media continued to churn out hogwash despite my denial of it. After these stories, it became very awkward to work with these women.

Talking about Urvashi, I'd like to make it very clear that I' not seeing her. I'm very much single.


But Urvashi went on record to say that the you are extremely close to her and confide in each other a lot. She had also said that she is the only woman you talk to on the sets. Comment
I don't know what Urvashi meant. But I can tell you that I'm friendly with everyone. I like to interact with a lot of people. It is not true that I only talk to her. There are other people I'm equally friendly with.


You seem to be equally popular with men too…
(Laughs) . Well, let me assure you that I am not gay. You guys need to make up your mind. Either label me a Casanova or otherwise.

Supergirl.....Thanks for sharing this article.....Its nice to read a interview of Anurag...i'm sure that he has the potential to do any kind of role.....I think he's a brillant Actor. His performance in KZK....is wonderful, and I wish him more and more success..in his career and his life!!!!!!

Guys I agree with U, I wish he could realize his full potential. He is so honest, why defend yourself when the truth is U, the reporter is asking questions about his personal life as if it is the burning Question that plagues the minds of our countrymen. GREAt CEZ u are irrestible.
HOpe he does more soaps ie other than K soaps , coz we dont want to see him stuck up with K soaps, anyway he is young, if at all he wants to pursue TV then he has to think of more challenging work.
He is a prankster, yeah this is one aspect of his personality that is also quite appealing.

Whenever I saw him in kzk, his mannerisms and overall body language sort-of made me feel that his chemistry with his leading ladies (prerna,komolika, aparna) was fake and I was like- may be he is gay ! now the reporters are also asking him abt that. 😃

I agree- if he is gay, it's his entirely personal choice and we must respect that. He is a capable actor, and that only matters.
