Vaastav Mein Shweta falls for Mahesh's charm

Manjrekar, whose marriage is also in trouble, has been giving Tiwari some much-needed emotional support

After her split from husband Raja Chaudhary, Shweta Tiwari has completely disappeared from the spotlight.

The Kasautii Zindagii Kay actress has even cut herself off from close friends by changing her mobile number, and has stopped mingling with the show's cast and crew.

An insider reveals, "A spot boy attends all her calls and Shweta returns very few of them. Her interaction with the unit is now limited to doing her scenes and discussing her schedule with Balaji."

But it seems Shweta has found an unlikely support system in filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar. Sources on the Kasautii sets reveal Shweta and Mahesh have developed a very special friendship. They may also be working on a film project soon.

When we speak to Mahesh, he prefers not to comment on Shweta. Instead, he tells us about his film projects. "I have a couple of things lined up, but I can't discuss them at the moment. I'm busy with my play Double Deal, and would love to get back on the Marathi stage," he says.

However, an actor from Kasautii spills the beans. "Shweta doesn't have too many friends and has always been on her own. Now, she's found a friend in Mahesh and they keep in touch regularly over the phone. They even meet up for coffee often," he says.

After having dabbled in Bhojpuri films, Shweta now wants to give Bollywood and theatre a go. "Since Mahesh has experience in films, TV and theatre, he is helping Shweta professionally," adds the source.
