Urvashi is just two much!
It's Urvashi's birthday and the actress gets busy with her vast collection of candles. Blowing a candle on her birthday gives her immense satisfaction. "I have never celebrated my birthday but I love blowing candles," she says. You don't have to pester her much about her age, as she declares, "I just turned 29." She further adds, "It was about two years back when it struck me that there's something about 30. So next year I'll have lavish birthday party. You won't believe I have already booked the venue and planned out the menu. I have already consulted the local police station also as the party has to go on till 6 in the morning."
FACE ON THE WALL There's more to Urvashi Dholakia's madness. Her bedroom walls are devoid of any paints, and the damp weather has left its own impressions on the walls. Take a closer look and the patches often depict faces. When quizzed about her not-any-paint-on-my-wall quirk and she says, "I don't have the patience. Doing up the interiors of the house is such a tiring and never-ending process. By the time my entire house got a facelift I asked the labourers to make their bills and make a quick exit."
Don't be startled if you stumble upon identical candles, couches and chandeliers in the Dholakia household. A shopaholic Urvashi believes in 'buying pairs' of whatever catches her attention. She blames it on the weird fixations that her parents possess and consequently, passed on to her. "My parents have fixed corners in the house. My mum and dad have been sleeping on the right and the left side of the bed for over thirty years now. If you forcefully change their positions they will be awake all night," she laughs. She settles in her favourite corner in the living room as pet pooch Blacky vies for her attention. "I have finally, found a mate for him," she says.
WASHER WOMAN If she wasn't an actress she would have taken up washing and cleaning as her profession. Urvashi loves to wash vessels and clothes. More often than not she asks her house staff to watch TV, as she gets busy with soaps and scrubs. "I'm very bad at cooking so I concentrate my energies on the washing part," she says. |
