Kasautii's latest leap…what's in store?

Kumbh Mela? Kasautii is one big hotch potch of actors and stories. It puts a Dickens novel to shame. This time the generation leaps 2 decades, with the sixty plus Prerna, who dons a Shilpa Shetty bod and not a single grey! Her seven grand-daughters along with Hiten Tejwani (business tycoon Pratham Mittal) and Vikas Sethi (Prem).

Pratham Mittal (Hiten Tejwani): Plays the local version of Laxmi Mittal. What brings him to Mumbai? Old scores to settle and thus the plot unwinds. Most appalling feature of the pic: of course the Ramsay inspired look of Hiten Tejwani. The blond streaks in his hair and beard, the lenses and the glossy blue shirt can scary!

'Authentic Prerna (Shweta Tiwari): Having witnessed combustible relationships on and off the set. Prerna has finally realized that she is not a good prerna for her grand daughters; so she is seen taking a sanyans from high drama. But in true Prerna style she can't help being the center stage and the swings to the other extreme, making a jail for her successors. She in true Mohabattein style apes Amitabh and closes the doors on LOVE.

P-2 (Kritika Senghal): is Prerna in the making. Our heartfelt sympathies lie with her. She descends from Shabbir Omi Ahluwalia and Jenifer Sneha Winget is Microsoft's outdated version P2. P1 as we deduce is Prerna Bajaj (Shweta) and thankfully Microsoft refuses to even accept that there was a P1. Thank God for small mercies.

Kritika (Gazala Selmin): Daughter of Sharavan and Tanisha is Sweety from Hum Panch- a character well explored as Indu in Kyunki. This bimbette will be the butt of all jokes and in our opinion will be dumped off after some episodes.

Taara (Nidhi): 'Kill Ya' seems to be this Shooting Star's tag line. Also reminiscent of Kajal Bhai, this one for change appears trained in some form of Karate. Her traits are that she can scowl, growl and hate men. She is again a product of Tushar and Dorris factory.

Dhara (Wasna Ahmed): Is in herPrem Nagariya and is waiting for her Bong lover to offer her mishti dhoi. Daughter of Prem and Palchin is a sucker for love. Archetypal castle princess awaiting her prince charming to rescue her from 'No Love' jail reminds one of an out dated raunchy Mills and Boon novel.

Kanishtha:Baby of the house is yet again a product of the Tushar - Doris' baby Factory. She is the chugalkhor Choti of Hum Panch, a gossip monger, spoil brat brought in to provide some laughs.
