BINDING FACTOR: Ronit Bose Roy and Manish Goswami
Producer Manish Goswami, who preferred to keep a stoic silence in the on-going Ronit Bose Roy-Sarrkkar-Kasautii Zindagii Kay imbroglio, has finally spoken.

"Ronit Roy can't leave Sarrkkar," declares the producer of this Zee daily. "He is committed to be part of the show till its very end."

Though Roy has been making conflicting statements over the past two months over being in and out of his serials — Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Sarrkkar, he continued shooting for all of them — except when he took a paternity break in May.

Roy is bound by contract

Says Goswami, "The actor has signed on the dotted line and the contract clearly states that Sarrkkar is a daily. He remains part of the show till the final episode. So, till whatever time the show goes on, Ronit remains in Sarrkkar."

In the past, producer Ekta Kapoor had issued an ultimatum to Roy to either play Mr Bajaj in her soap Kasautii (Star Plus) or be Kunal in Sarrkkar (Zee) as both aired at the same time on rival channels.

Later, Roy claimed that he was giving up both Kyunki and Kasautii and would only do Sarrkkar. Yet, he continued to shoot for the other two.

Ronit knew what he was getting into

Goswami further adds that when Roy agreed to do Sarrkkar he was already doing Kyunki and Kasautii. "So he clearly knew what he was getting into. How he would balance all the three dailies was for him to figure out."

Roy is committed for eight to 10 days of shoot for Sarrkkar every month.
Incidentally, throughout the entire drama Roy has not spoken to Goswami about the Sarrkkar issue. "He never told me anything nor did we discuss anything about it," claims Goswami who wanted to steer clear from any controversy.

The Sarrkkar team leaves for Dubai today for the promotion of the show. "Ronit is not coming as he is shooting for his other shows," informs Goswami.

Manini in Sarrkkar

The daily has Maninee De making an entry on the show next week as a blast from the past in Kunal's (Rohit Roy) life. The cast includes Divya Seth, Rohit Roy, Tisca Chopra, Shveta Salve and Mouli Ganguly. Goswami's earlier show on Zee was Kittie Party.
