Hiten's Grand Entrance
Ekta's favourite boy Hiten Tejwani, who plays Karan in Kyunki, will enter Kasauti Zindagi Kay after its fifth leap. The actor will make a dramatic appearance in by turning up in a chopper.
Hiten confirms this saying, "I am going to enter Kasauti through a helicopter. Since I am playing a rich guy they have to show it that way! I have not started shooting for the scene yet but I am very excited about it. Within four days I'll be completing the shoot. I play the role of a rich man and you can just imagine how important my character is if he is entering the show by a chopper! My character is supposed to be very charismatic. People watch him all the time. They make note of how he talks and how he walks. He is one of those characters who people can't take their eyes off!"
Mahesh Pandey, scriptwriter for Kausati says, "We are going to use a chopper for Hiten's entry. He's playing a rich businessman so it is appropriate. The name of his character is Pratham Mittal and his chopper will land in Gurukul where Prerna (Shweta Tiwari) is a teacher. There is love angle to Pratham's role in the serial."
Right now we are concentrating on the new characters which are going to enter Kasauti. Theses characters will all be new faces and casting is still going. We'll be going easy in the case of the old characters tracks. The leap episode will air on the 2 May."
We asked Sivangi, the creative head of the show, how much an elaborate chopper entry would cost the production house:
"I don't know the exact figure but I think they will spend approximately 3-5 lakhs on this shot. We'll complete the shooting at Filmcity. We will hire the chopper from somewhere else and it will land in Filmcity. We are going to change Hiten's look for this role as he is paying a business tycoon. The thought of him making his entrance by car was too common so decided to try something different. This is something that has never happened before on television."
Prem (Manoj Bohra) has already been replaced in the serial by Vikas Sethi. After the leap Anurag Basu (Cezanne Khan) will no longer be there. Hiten however is not replacing Cezanne's character but entering the show in another lead role. It is said that Anurag will die in the show. There is also speculation about Prerna's look after the leap. The buzz going around is that her image will be of an old Parsi lady.
