After a long run on the small screen, Kasautii Zindagi Kay's Anurag Basu is finally calling it quits. Cezanne Khan, who plays the popular character, terms this severing of ties, as a "smart career move".

"I quit Kasautii because it was taking another generation leap and I was quite unsure about playing a grandfather at this stage of my career. I think I am better off portraying the character that reflects my age and persona. I would be uncomfortable doing a role that I am not interested in," explains Cezanne.

Meanwhile, industry insiders say that Cezanne has also left Ektaa Kapoor's production house and is looking at scripts from other production houses. While Cezanne accepts that he is looking at other scripts, he adds, "These are just rumours. Kasautii was the only serial I was doing under her brand, and I am not working with them now. But there are absolutely no issues between Ektaa and me.

Thanks for the article! Yeah ppl are making rumours that he is leaving kasauti coz of ekta.. I hope he doesnt join k serials..sab ka patter ek jaisa hota hai, when u r runnong out of ideas, show a gen leap to move the story..stupid idea..

Thats why I hate your favourit .. Cez built up his path whether a cry baby or loser. He maintain his role for 5 years. And according to my religion to give up something his harder but wiser than aquire it And to my surprize Anurag did it with ease. He cried but he didn't do it infront of prerna.

He was a true lover of prerna, he always care for her happiness and infact at the time of BP marriage, he was hurt but he never showed his dissapointment infront of prerna 😛

let me tell u once incedence
there was interview of cezz
a reporter came he had a cute small girl of age to
she came and she gave a kiss to cezz
and the reporter said she has kept her name prerna after seeing kzk
so that when she will grow up she will marry anurag(means cezz)
see a small girl also like cezz not bajaj
and ekta broke up ap to raise her trp
and cezz shweta fight lead to show bajaj prerna together

well i have many more things to say
if u want all bajaj fans i can say
u r most welcome

actually hiten,ejaj,ronit etc.
r the chamchas of ekta
so they r her fav
where as cezz is not so he was being sideline
though i like hiten
