nostalgia is like, something that reminds you of a past good time. So for example, if as a kid you celebrated xmas with a huge tree and with your entire family, but when you grew up and moved away, you had to do it by yourself - the memory of those childhood xmas' would be nostalgic - bringing back the good times...
