I was deeply touched by her predicament when her first husband Piyush passed away. But now with her second husband Sujal (who was the first husband's first cousin) also gone we got a sickening smell of dj vu, specially since we know the actor playing the part upped and left, precipitating a critical crisis in the plot. Does it mean each time the lead actor leaves Kashish becomes a widow?
Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi has managed to avert a similar crisis. Ronit Roy's character was first put into a crisis situation where he was about to lose face… in more ways than one. Just when they thought he would leave and had to be replaced by another actor Ronit decided to stay on… His character has virtually returned from the dead, bandaged head, bruised forehead and all.
Ronit's new serial Sarkarr continues to take chapters out of the Indira Gandhi saga. The mercurial younger son is about to defy his tyrannical mother to marry the girl of his choice. Lots of flashing eyes and many moments of suspense cannot over-ride the feeling that this soap is at least trying to do something radically different from the norm.
