OK, so most of you know how much I HATE that monkey boy Sharad....BUT, I have to admit that yesterday's scene between him and Sneha was mindblowing. Karan Singh has portrayed this character SO wonderfully that I really give him kudos for it...the masochism, the violence etc...
I don't even like Sneha much anymore - particularly because she is always moping around and crying her loss all the time. Yes, we get that her husband is a rapist and she has been given a raw deal, BUT, when soo many people are trying soooo damn hard to snap her out of her misery and to make her happy, you'd think it would be courtesy even to just PRETEND that she is getting over it. But no, she would rather cause everyone misery by drawing attention to herself, i.e. getting drunk, arrested and staying away from her biological father's wedding...and don't even get me started on the contrast with Mukti...
Yesterday, when she sat on the ground in tears whilst Sharad began his crap about her "betrayal" - I was despairing at her lack of strength. BUT, when he said that stuff about keeping a woman under his feet, I could see the inner Durga in her FINALLY begin to show. And the final confrontation between her and Sharad was awesome.
Jennifer's acting was wonderful, when she was lamenting and rueing the decisions she made in loving and marrying Sharad. It seemed as if she finally realised what an idiot she had been. If Sneha survives this latest attack, I think that it would be the breakthrough needed to jolt her out of misery-mode...
Kudos to Jennifer and Karan for a wonderful acting performance!!š
