To make "is he gay?" statement is a bit offensive, especially since he WAS shown with a secret Girl only yesterday. You won't be thrilled with a statement like "Is Prem a eunuch?" .his walking style and mannerism..is not how normal indian men walk,talk and behave. I read somewhere that it was based on some rapper, and that might be true(and cool) in west. I personally like his style because it keeps me entertained, but here in India it'll be compared to eunuchs. The eunuchs I encounter at traffic signals here, actually DO walk and talk like Prem, though not in English. Still, I won't make such a statement here, because that may hurt his fans.(and I am myself a fan of his witty comments). Similarly, you need to take care not to hurt Tushar's fans. Learn to respect other characters as well.

Coming back to the topic, not just Tushar, even cookie and vishakha are shown single. Vishakha was shown first married, then single. The reason is...Ekta wants to focus only on Anu's children. And, Shweta Tiwari won't be ok with two son-in-laws(Vish, cookie's husbands), one daughter-in-law(tushar's wife) , 3 sets of in-laws and 5-6 kids all calling her "mummy ji" "samdhan ji" "dadi ji" "naani ji" etc.

Even right now, I am sure this girl in Tushar's life is connected to Komolika or Prem or both. Tushar can never be the hero as Prem has and always will be the hero of kzk, since he is son of Mr Anurag Basu, the protagonist of kzk.

well, calling someone gay just coz he's not married for a long time is a bit unfair unfair to the poor guy don't you think so😭

kekta just forgot about the dude & to make logical amends at this juncture, is creating this secret girlfriend track & some murky heartbreak of his past for him.

And yeah I agree with nehavarun, I don't think shweta would like to be called dadi, nani, saasumamu etc even her fans would hate that 😭 😭 .. 😆

btw I don't agree that onurag is the protagonist of kzk, atleast not anymore..It's mother india..prerna all the way😆

I really can understand your sentiments. But the basic assumption you are making is that by asking whether Tushar could be gay, I am INSULTING him.

Do you think homosexuality is despicable -- because I do not. The fact that your think "gay" is a synonym or a euphemism for an insult indicates your views on homosexuality, with which I do not agree. I myself have a friend who is bisexual, and I have no problems with it. I understand that you live in India and there homosexuality is alien and considered impure. However, you need to realize that in the west people really have no problems with homosexuality.

When I wonder whether someone is gay, it is no way indicated that I am mocking them or insulting them. Homosexuality is not a crime or a sin -- at least in my beliefs. It is a way of life, and one with which I am totally cool.

Again the same attitude... sorry rick but is "gay" an insult word? Because I certainly don't think so. Why i thought Tushar could be gay was he seemed against the whole idea of marriage and he wasn't shown to have any relationships. I was wondering if Ekta was trying to bring a new social issue track... but just seeing some of the comments posted here tells me that there is no way Indian viewers are ready for a homosexual character.

I have a bisexual friend who calls herself just that. I don't think she feels insulted by that word. Is "gay" really an insulting adjective?

No not all, no probs with me by any means, be gay, lesbian, bi, straight it's their life and I have no right to pass judgement on it. Having alternate sexual preferences is nothing to be ashamed of.The closets are coming out & facing the society as normal citizens without being ashamed and that's a good thing.


But this is an indian soap for chrissake!!! think of it from the majority of indian viewers mentality..I don't think he/she would be able to digest that..not everyone's that open minded..

And I also doubt if kekta would be able to handle the subject matter that sensitively..she will make a mockery of it like she does with her supposedly slapstick comedies involving the buffoon indroneel..doesn't make me laugh but feel disgusted..

ofcourse its not i have lots of gay and lesbian friends...and im proud to be their friend...people need to be broadminded...you cant have issues and hangups about these things
