Next evening.
All the preparations for Karva Chauth are being made.
Anurag is constantly complaining that hes hungry as he has kept the fast with
Shweta.
Shweta: Why did you keep the fast then? Now stop complaining your wasting my
time and making me hungry.
Just then Kash comes and tells them that everyone is waiting on the terrace.
Kash saying this leaves, Shweta and Anurag follow.
As all three walk on to the terrace, the moon appears and all the women
complete the rituals and break their fast.
All the women then sit down to eat, Anurag joins them cause of his hunger.
Suman pulls Anurags ear and tells him that he'll have to wait since the women
eat first and the men serve.
Hearing this, Shweta bursts out laughing, while Anurag is pulling faces at her.
Suman and Mohini are confused as to why Anurag is making faces Shweta and they
ask him why? However, Anurag walks off in a huff without answering them.
Suman: Shweta, what happened to Anurag?
Shweta: Actually, mumma Anurag was keeping karva chauth fast with me and he
was feeling really hungry.
Suman: Oh, hm, no wonder he was making faces at you. This Anurag will never grow
up.
Shweta is putting food for Anurag and herself, when Samar and Shreya come to
her and start asking her about karva chauth.
Shweta is confused as to whether to answer their questions or go and give food
to Anurag.
Samar & Shreya: Mumma, why aren't you telling us? And where's papa?
Shweta: Your papa has gone inside.
Shreya: Why? Is he angry at me?
Shweta: No, he isn't. Hes probably just joking by pretending to be angry at
me.
Shreya: Why would he pretend to be angry at you?
Shweta: When you're older you'll understand.
Suman and Mohini call Samar and Shreya and tell them, that they will explain
the story behind karva chauth.
Meanwhile, Shweta goes inside and finds Anurag standing on the balcony in
their room.
She places the plate on the table nearby, and goes to talk to him.
Shweta: Still angry?
Anurag: No why should i be angry and turns his face away.
Shweta looks at Anurag and smiles.
She slowly places her hand on his face and softly stokes it.
Anurag pushes her hand away.
She again puts her hand on his face, however, this time near his mouth and
says that something is missing.
Anurag finally smiles: Now are you happy?
Shweta: Yes, now can we go down and eat with everyone?
She goes to pick up the plate when Anurag stops her by holding her hand.
Anurag: Whats the hurry? Anyway, you've bought the food here, so why not eat
here?
Shweta: Leave my hand.
Anurag, however, pulls Shweta closer to himself. He whispers in her ear
please?
Shweta whispers back: Ok.
They both sit at the table and feed each other.
Just as Shweta stands up with the plate in her hand, Anurag picks her up and
takes her, inside and lies her down on the bed.
Shweta: Atleast let me take the plate down.
Anurag: No, takes the plate from her and puts it to one side.
Shweta: Samar and Shreya, what abt them? I have to put them to sleep.
Anurag: Leave that on me. He takes his phone and sms's Kash, asking her to
put Samar and Shreya to sleep. He then locks their room door so no-one can
come in.
Anurag comes closer to Shweta and starts kissing her on her face and slowly
moves to her neck. In the meantime, Shweta stokes Anurags back and then turns
off the light.
