i jus feel the character of prem was planned differently in the beginning and it has turned out to be different ...... prem has turned out to be completely sick now ...
too much of anything loses its effect on the viewers . the rape track has been shown on almost all her serials tht honestly now i find it boring as a viewer ....
cum on ekta , if u want to give social messages thru ur serials , do it in a sensitive way , in a meaningful way , and why does the rapist always hav to be a close
relative in all ur serials , ok in real lyk sumtimes
the girl gets raped by her relative , fine , we get
the message .... now why do you want to repeat tht in all ur serials .
and what are u going to show in your next serial - incest ?

That's the saddest part..you have girls going ga ga over Prem and Ijaz Khan (forgot name of character) and you have topics like "Main Prem ki Diwani hu".
When girls themselves support rapist characters, Ekta is bound to think that rapists are popular. Prem himself tried to gangrape mukti with that guy Karan. But Bajaj reached there in time and udi-karan were just too much scared in front of Bajaj. Now udi is supporting the rapist. But still you have people saying "poor udi" blah blah blah. I think we should blame the audience , not Ekta.

no offence tulip, but what UD and Karan did to mukti was nowhere near "gang-rape"..i'm not condoning what they did, but to call something like that gang-rape only plays down the viciousness and the disgusting act of gangrape. gangrape is JUST THAT--lots of people raping a girl one by one...what UD and Karan did was humiliate her...and I am not convinced by your theory that if bajaj hadn't turned up then they would have raped her...there were no signs that this was what they wanted...they just wanted to humiliate her and teach her a lesson...and as for girls supporting a rapist, well, WE ARE NOT...i think sharad should be hanged, drawn and quartered..he should die a slow, painful death.

UD, on the other hand, IF he is indeed supporting sharad, is despicable enough, but we are still holding on to the fact that he is double-crossing sharad...you guys know that ekta loves her red herrings and misunderstanding of characters--the one who is openly "bad" is then always misunderstood and thought to be evil, and the one who acts like a good person turns out to be the true evil...so we shall wait and see...and you guys must remember that this is a tv show, moreover, this is an Ekta show, which means major histrionics and drama...if this was real life, no girl would trust UD or like him...in fact, no one would do things the way ANY of these characters behave, be that UD, Mukti or even Prerna...has anyone ever seen such a pendulum character in real life?

so the point is, that although no one here supports a rapist or his accomplices or HIS supporters, but like Ekta's swinging characters and their swinging morals, the audience often swings with her...

ya , it shud not be surprising then if prem is shown wid a holier-than-thou attitude in the next episode ...

and i dont think she was about to be gangraped there , it lukd more lyk eveteasing or insensitive kinda ragging lyk how it happns in colleges ....

I hate the way ekta shows rapes in her serials...I thought it was the sickest thing when rapist and rape victim share a love story in koi dil mein hai...and then her attempted rapes by husbands on their wives like Pratham and Angad... and then they are easily forgiven...and Ud/Prem supporting a rapist is also very sick, especially since there will eventually be a Mukti-Prem pairing...in ekta's serial, there is no consistency with her characters...they are bipolar...roller coasters...

The first ever rape shown were two rapes in KGGK, which actually made sense one was Sonali's the other Khushi's. And they were sensitively handled must say.

Take it from me man..the way she has handled the whole issue, it's a whole mess and certainly glorified.
It's become too casual with the chars screaming rape rape all the time for quite sometime now as if it's too cool a word and viewers do get desensitized somewhere down the line or bugged off....

man, we watch the soap with family too at times, all this social awareness crap just to get more publicity and trps for her soap in a cheap way..man, kzk was the only one free from this taint, now she ruined it too..

of course us viewers are at fault too, for supporting the chars who indulge in such henious acts, but I guess it's the actors they are supporting not the chars, ironical isn't it man... some sorta solution here is to write nasty feedbacks to ekta mata and tell her to get some original ideas instead of using these serious issues in a messy manner and ruining the serial..

would like to add here as said earlier, I love the funny side to yudi, but highly condemn the way he's been portayed so far in each of his disgusting scenes.. but of course he will become a good guy over time and be everyone's favorite..atleast that's what all his fans are waiting for man..right?
