Hey I am looking for the Japanese serial aired on Doordarshan called "Oshin" in late 1980's....Does anybody have any information regrding it??

OMG!!!!!! Are you sure it was the late 1980s???? Cuz I remember watchign it... doesn't it have a scene where the Japanese girl (main character) walks away from home not being able to put up with her step mom's abuse or whatever??? I remember watching that in the early 1990s and I was probably four or five at that time. Oh my god did I love that show!!!!!! Nostalgia is overhwelming me right now.

its about this young girl who faces lots of trial and tribulation in men's world.Divorces her first husband cos he abuses her,gets married again and its my most favourite soap character.There was a time when I thought if I had a daughter I would name her OSHIN cos I was so impressed by the character's strength 😊

omg...there r other people searching for oshin.....u wont believe how much i googled on this...but couldnt find anything....it used to come late night n my brother n i will never sleep without watching it....it was this japanese girl who is sent to some other place to work....n she used to send money to her home..i think she had a little brother also....

n cutesweetjenni...even i thought if i hada daughter i'll name her oshin.... 😳 😳 ..she was so adorable....

Yep I remember watching a Japanese serial in the early 1990s. Can you please oh please tell if the character in "Oshin" wears traditional Japanese clothing cuz the one I used to watch did.

I know..........I luved the show too. But it was aired in the 1990s and I was four or five at the time too.

u were four or five n u didnt watch cartoons but watched oshin...did u even understand what they were showing.... 😆 😆

Well, my parents loved it...all I remember is that it seemed like a cool show.....and Oshin had a weird husband..and Oshin's son died in world war -1...hahaha...can anyone tell me y we are talking abt Oshin in kzk forum?
