Yea, it could be Sharvan because this could be his way of getting back at Prerna and Bajaj...and he also had no other reason to be in the garden..BUT...

If you look at the scene closely where the rapist is un-buttoning his shirt...that looks like Sharad's chest, and lately he's always wearing low neck shirts.... as for the flowered shirt...he may be wearing that under his jacket cuz if u noticed, at the party, Sharad was wearing a white jacket...(not to mention, he's always been a HUGE flirt with Mukti)

And we all are aware that Sharad's character is supposed to turn negative, so what better way to turn him negative than this, rite???
