Why are you in Ekta Kapoor's blacklist?
Please… these are just rumours. I am not blacklisted. Balaji called me to offer me Krimson Skies, which is coming up on Star One. Anyway these rumours don't bother me. I believe that any publicity is good publicity.

So why didn't you take up Krimson Skies?
We could not reach a consensus on money

What are you doing now?
I am doing Ravi Chopra's Virasat (Star Plus), wherein I play a very positive character called Kunal Kharbanda — an IAS officer posted in Mumbai as a Municipal Commissioner. I have started shooting and the show is expected to go on air in February. I am hopeful that my character in Virasat will whip up the same euphoria as the Mihir Virani character in Kyunki had.

How did Virasat happen?
How I got Virasat is an interesting story. When I was doing up my new house, I used to shop a lot around B R Chopra Studios at Jogeshwari. One day, I dropped in to say Hi to Ravi Chopra. He said that he had a role if I was interested.

You won a recent poll on who makes a better Mihir Virani- you or Ronit Roy?
I expected to lose, as I haven't played Mihir for nearly three years now. It was a pleasant surprise and I thank the public.
