It's official! Manoj Bohra will play Prem Basu, the most talked about character in Kasautii Zindagi Kay. Before you say Manoj who, allow us to tell you that he is Dhruv, the boy-next-door in Shararat and the spoilt rich brat Nakul in Kkusum. But it is his role in Kasautii…which is the biggest thing in his career so far.

"I was doing television shows earlier but with Kasautii… life is surely going to be different," he says with a gleam in his eyes.

Apparently this is the same role that Rakshak Sahani (former Kavya of Kavyanjali) was vying for. But as luck would have it, Sahani injured himself during a shoot and has been bedridden for some weeks now. Sahani's loss proved to be Bohra's gain.

Interestingly Balaji intends to launch Prem very stylishly. Celebrities from the fashion world (read Anusha Dhandekar and Teejay Sidhu) have been roped in to work on his wardrobe. He adds, "They also hired Doris Godambe who is considered to be one of the the best hairdressers, to give me a hip look." All that because Prem Basu happens to be a millionaire running a dotcom company and "moves around with an I-know-it-all attitude." And as Prem Basu makes an appearance in tonight's episode of Kasautii… Bohra has his hopes pinned on the show.

But will it be hectic for him considering the three other shows on hand? It doesn't seem so because as the actor insists, "Shararat is a weekly show, so I can easily manage it. And Kkusum and Kasautii… both being Balaji shows, the dates will be adjusted as per requirements." In the same breath he doesn't forget to inform that he has no plans of quitting any of the existing shows.

Talking about Balaji's Big Boss namely Ekta Kapoor, he says "I haven't met her (Kapoor) because she is in Dubai. I wouldn't know what she thinks of my performance. But other people in Balaji sounded very positive."

he looks nothing like both of the goodlooking actors!

i have seen him in Shararat, he has a cute role in it. but in KZK the character prem is surprising. I dont want prem to be a know it all guy. i want him to be innocent and kind like his parents

Yeah in Sharat he is good indeed cute, Yep BD, everybody is rich wonder how he scrapped through the dotcom scam? It hit real hard , most of those guys are paupers, maybe Ekta saved him for Telly, but this attitude thing, oh my God, we will have another kind of music playing namely I have an attitude in the background, now is this not old? Professionals do not behave like immature kids.
Yeah cool fire Anu- Prerna son should have had the looks. Anurag did comment on his son being handsome in the first few episodes of K after 20 year leap.
