Pronita's hands started moving around Jai's back as she closed her eyes and tears streamed down her face, old memories came rushing to her mind making all her determination fragile. She wanted to scream and say that she was indeed his Bani. But that were few minutes, suddenly something struck her consciousness and she pushed away Jai's face from her neck. Jai was startled and as he looked up, he saw an indignant Pronita, her face now another kinda red with anger.
"This is your love for Bani, do you call this love…..going so weak just being close to another woman….," Pronita uttered the words with sarcasm.
"Pronita…….you are getting me wrong, I just thought you were Bani!"
"Me…Bani, can't you see who I am, don't you know the woman who has been staying with you for so many days…how can you mistake me for Bani?" Pronita came forward, her one eyebrow raised in contempt.
Jai was flabbergasted and all he could think at the moment was to escape from the horrible situation, his head still confused and his heart still convinced that he had not done anything wrong. He strode past Pronita fast towards the open balcony and slammed the door to the balcony behind him. Out there, he dropped himself on the swinging sofa. He needed to breathe, Pronita had hurt him badly.
Inside the room, pronita rushed to the bathroom and once inside, she locked the door and opened the shower and dropped herself on the floor. A flood had accumulated inside her mind which broke out as tears and hoarse cry in her throat, what did she do….she hurt Mr Walia, she spoke as if she doubted that Mr Walia could ever love another woman! Yes she did it just that, she did that to take control of herself from becoming weak in his arms and getting diverted from achieving her aim.
After that day, Jai barely spoke to Pronita and Pronita too could not look into his eyes having hurt and insulted him so badly. Meera noticed the changes in behavior between her rival pronita and Jai. And she thought it was some godsend blessing for her, she gained a new leash of confidence and geared up well to outdo her enemy. The first thing she did to get closer to Jai was to bail out Ganga. Ganga was her trump card and Mr Walia's biggest weakness.
Bani understood everything and in a way, she thought that it was good whatever happened – Meera's attempt to get close to Jai by bailing out her Ganga and Jai too finally getting some relief and happiness. Bani thanked god for that, now she could concentrate on what she thought was her end aim, to bring to fore Meera's sinful secrets.
Two days had passed since Ganga was back home, to her brother Vicky, sister Krishna and cousins and of course her Choti Maa. Meera was all smiles and it was a Saturday evening when she was sitting like a queen with all her devoted people around which included Rano, Rashi, Ranvir and of course her children in the resplendent huge living room. Everybody was very relaxed and they were discussing about a trip to some place outside Mumabi. Meera was excited of all as Pronita was nowhere near and nobody even mentioned her name when they discussed about the trip. Amidst all this, suddenly her phone rang.
Meera picked up the cell and saw it was a private number, she said, "Hello!"
There was a male voice on the other end, "hello meera, I have some very important news for you, something that would turn upside your whole world, ruin peace of day and sleep of night."
"What non-sense? Who are you talking and what are you talking about?" Meera retorted.
"Sense Meera, sense. What I am talking about will perfectly make sense to you when you patiently hear what I have to tell you….."
"Shoot, say…..,' Meera's voice was snappish.
"I am talking about Bani, did you ever try to find out where did her body disappear that fateful night after you disfigured her face and tried to burn her alive? Meera, Bani did not die, she is alive and I know where she is!"
