Ban or bash me!

After a while I watched KS today, instead of reading update only.
I thought its better to watch GK in action than to presume she might not be good.

I am sorry but this is what I felt after watching today's episode:
- every time GK was saying Mr.Walia, it sounds strange. Somehow she doesn't sound like Bani.
- The scene between Baba and Bani, it didn't touch my heart. There again for some unknown reason, every time GK said Mr.Walia it sounds as if she is talking about her neighbor.
- GK is too much melodramatic in some scenes and delivers dialogs pretty slow than PD did, which actually bored me more.
- I would rather say Pallavi is doing great job as she made us hate Meera so much! And she has a much more stronger role than Bani now. Her character has more shades to show and not to mention tremendous two-facedness.

So. I really dun care ..but this is truth, the thing Pallavi as Meera could do, GK couldn't do it still. I already loved Bani, but GK couldn't fuel it further.

here we go again..........we can talk this topic to death and still we will have no answers....because it would always come down to preference......

ur feelings are valid....however i think since u just saw her once.....its still a shock to see someone else as bani even though u may have heard abt it a lot on the forum.... so if u watch her more and more u might get used to it but then again u might not

actors get replaced everyday on indian television...some can take it and some can't.....however the more u watch the new person on the show the more u get used to it.....or like others just accept it and move on knowing tht it wont be the same thing again...

i somehow think Gurdeep needs to tone down her overacting. Its doesn't fit in Kasam Se. Except jigyasa which Ashwini carries well no one does. Look at all the characters dadi, maasi, Rano, Aditya, Ranveer & ofocurse Ram & Prachi. No one is one was ever loud or melodramatic. Even the scenes when Bani finds out about Jai & Pia or when twins die Prachi did shout but except that none of her dialogues were said in loud or melodramatic way.

May be Gurdeep is used to that way in her other shows as nost of the Tv shows are. But Kasam se is an exception & so it stands out. She should work on that.

I had same opinion about Pia & loved Ashwini in spite of hating Jigs because of her acting.

About Pallavi I have seen her only in Kasam se & hasn't impressed me. Just because the character is hated doesn't mean she is doing good job. It can be because of the storyline. Anyone will hate a woman who has killed twin, separated two soulmates, tried to kill a lady leading to her exile & spoiling two innocent young girls. No matter who plays it.

yes suwas i agree with u gurdeep is over acting, shez loud and melodramic, she should mellow down a bit, she is a good actress but sometimes her dialogue delivery and expressions doesn't go wit the character "bani" maybe all that over acting worked in her previous serials but it doesn't work in ks.

Yes GK as Bani is yet to connect with the audience its over a month and a half she has been introduced but for me she is Pronita not Bani.... and I never enjoyed PS's acting when she acted goody goody with PD, I don't know why but I think in the negetive role she is doing better or maybe we are connecting better with her now that she is with us over 8/9 months ...love Tin

I agree with you, that it's hard to connect with GK, and i also think that her expressions of shock, concern, grief are over the top!!! hopefully with time she will improve and carve a niche for herself in the show. As for Meera, i think the reason the audience are able to connect with her is because now we finally know her true self...before we knew she was faking being nice but we need that confirmation.

This show was such a breath of freshness when it started! now it's rotting and starting to have a bad smell!!!

Gurdeep has over the top facial expressions and she is on the melodramatic side. She has brought too much of Vedika, her character from Sindoor into the role of Bani. To play a mature and strong character you don't need loud expressions. Ram Kapoor is a subtle actor and in comparision sometimes her act is jarring when they are in a dramatic scene together.

Some of her scenes were really good, especially with Rano when she met her for the first time on the train and with Krishna at the mall but I think for dramtic scenes she goes over the top and looks like a mad Bani rather than a confused and lost Bani.

She is a good actress, maybe she just needs to tone down a little with the expressions. If you look at actresses like Smriti or Sakshi who play strong roles, you won't find over the top expressions from them even in powerful or dramtic scenes.
