Happy New Year to all IFians, KSians, JBians…
Episode begins with Bani who walks by Ganga's room. She sees Daksh fast asleep and goes straight to Maasi who's busy with morning prayers. She asks her why he's been here all night and that she should've been told. Maasi tells her that she knew Bani would've asked him to leave. Daksh comes and apologises for dropping off to sleep and promises Bani that it will not happen again. Bani is upset and leaves. Maasi smiles and tells Daksh that she's bought him new clothes for Diwali and that he should get changed. Daksh gets changed. They show the Thakurain wondering how she will accomplish her goal of getting Bani thrown out of the Pandit's house and the basti. She sees Maasi with Daksh's dirty clothes and follows her to the dhobi. Maasi hands over clothes to the dhobi and tells her to wash and iron them. The Thakurain realizes that here is the opportunity she was searching for. She overhears Daksh and Maasi's conversation about Bani being stubborn and that she should not work for JW. They leave and she goes to the dhobi, offers her money and tells her that the clothes should be delivered where and when she wants.
At the pandit's house the boy's family arrive to see the daughter. Bani helps serving sweets and when they ask who she is the Panditain says that she is like their daughter. The Panditji says that he wants all details of dowry to be settled before they bring out their daughter. The boy's family tells him not to worry. They want a pretty bride. The girl is brought out. The Thakurain then tells them that they have to meet Bani's daughter Ganga. They are surprised that she's married, they ask where the father is but the thakurain very smirkingly says that no one knows who the father is, as Bani refuses to tell his name. It's a family minus a male head. The dhobi then comes with the clothes and the Thakurain rushes to take them. She deliberately drops Daksh's clothes to draw attention to them and then asks the dhobi who's clothes it is. The dhobi says that these clothes have gone from this house. Then the Thakurain says that these belong to Bani's very close male friend who sometimes spends the night, and she knows him from their Meerut days. The boy's family get up to leave hurriedly saying that they'll get back and that they are in a rush. As they leave the pandit and his wife are upset but the Thakurain tells her that this is what happens when you give refuge to characterless people like Bani, at this rate one day you will be thrown out of your own home. Bani speaks up and says that such a situation will not happen as she will leave, before allowing the Pandit to suffer coz of her. The Thakurain is happy that her mission has been accomplished and that she has to inform Jigz.
She calls Jigz and gives her the news and Jigz says that she has accomplished something worthwhile. The Thakurain asks for the remaining money and Jigz says that she'll finish up some work and come. She goes in to JW's office and pretends to be having a disturbing conversation on the phone. JW asks her the matter and she pretends to be very shocked and tells him that Ban is being thrown out of the basti because of her illicit relationship with Daksh, They have a love child and Bani is agreeable to leaving the basti, even the city but she will not give up Daksh who spends nights with her. She tells JW that Bani has moved on but you are trapped in time, because you have not been able to have a complete relationship with Meera, to date you have no child. JW grabs Jigz by her arm and throws her against the wall. He tells her to listen and listen well. She has only got away with saying what she has simply coz she's his sister. He tells her that it makes no difference to him who Bani chooses to be with. He tells Jigz to get out and she leaves in tears. JW then goes to the bar and begins to drink thinking of Jigz words and rips off the bandage on his hand.
Jigz and Karuna come to the basti and the Thakurain points out Bani and Maasi leaving. Just then Ganga joins them and Jigz is shocked to see her . The Thakurain is given more money and is told by Jigz to keep Bani in the basti. The thakurain says that it took me so much effort to get rid of her but Jigz tells her that she'll get as much money as she wants.
Okay Brace yourselves. Meera is lighting candles when JW storms in looking at her strangely. He goes up to her and holds her by her arms all the while thinking of Jigz words. He pulls Meera close and smears her sindoor on her forehead. Simultaneously they show Bani walking with Ganga and Maasi as a storm arises. Episode ends there.
