Episode begins with a repeat of the Thakurain throwing the MS into the air, Ganga yelling to JW to get out of the way, Bani catching the MS and Jai ducking safely out of the way as the chandelier falls to the ground and smashes. Jai looks at Ganga for the first time and she looks quite scared of him. Bani holds her MS tightly and tells the Thakurain that this MS is not just a decoration for a married woman's neck but also symbolises a rishta which when enclosed in a woman's fist is an embodiment of power/shakti.. Irrespective of where her husband is, the shakti will keeep him safe and unharmed. Adi runs to Jai and Jai turns to go saying he's alright. Ganga is quite bugged and calls out to Jai ( This was really cute) She tells him that she saved his life , he could at least thank her. As JW turns to look at her and tells her that he's not in the habit of saying thanks. Ganga is full of sass and spunk and tells him that its not a good habit. As all the WM members look on aghast at her audacity she goes on to say that her mother's taught her that its gratitude and forgiveness that makes one human. Jai walks up to her and says that your mother is wrong, I'll teach you the truth. In life one cannot feel sorry or sympathetic for others otherwise you'll get hurt. And he's learnt this lesson from life itself. He tells her to remember this.Mera runs to Jw worried that he's hurt. Karuna with a face pack on also comes running but JW brushes them off and leaves. Karuna tells Meera that she has not opened a charity and tells Meera to do some organizing as she's the bahu of the house. She is busy with preparations to look good for the functions as people are coming to see her, not shabby Meera. She tells Meera that she's got no time for all this. As she leaves Meera shows Ganga the thumbs up. Ganga asks her who that khadoos uncle was and Meera tells her that he's her husband. At that Ganga quickly backtracks and says that he's a good man. Meera says that she's giving the food contract to Ganga's mother and an excited Ganga tells her that she wants to give her mother the good news. Meera says that she'll drop her home. As they are leaving Purva comes to Meera and points out that her mangalsutra has come loose and is in danger of breaking. Meera holds it with her hand and says that she'll get it fixed.
Bani is sitting in the temple clutching her MS thinking of all the times JW put the MS on her and other JB moments and the song from 'Dor' plays. A couple who are at the temple for Chat puja and the priest asks them what they want. They reply that it is their daughter who has kept them linked and that they hope that it continues to be so. Just then a man comes running calling Maithili just saying " Ganga, Ganga" . Bani thinks something has happened to Ganga and jumps up letting her MS slip out of her grasp. She runs wildly and sees a sleek car come to a stop and Ganga gets out with a big smile. Meera also alights.
Bani and Meera come face to face. But Meera calls her Maithili and Bani evidently doesn't know her. As Meera introduces herself as 'Meera' and clasps Bani's hand, her MS slips off. Bani catches it and holds it out to hersaying" Aapka suhaag". Meera tells her that no matter how much she tries to hold on to her relationship it keeps slipping out of her grasp. Bani says that its coz of a weak link, sonmetimes a weak link can destroy the entire string. She fixes the link and hands it back to Meera. She tells Meera that she looks after her MS the same way and suddenly realizes that she's dropped it at the temple in her dash to see Ganga. Meera then picks up Bani's MSwhich had got entangled in Bani's dupatta and hands it back to her, telling her that her MS has not left you. She hands over the contract and advance to Bani. Bani tells her to at least taste the food but Meera says that her daughter's praised the food so much. She tells Bani that she's lucky to have a daughter like Ganga. Sometimes it seems you have everything but you have nothing. And somethimes you have relations that don't need words. Meera's phone rings and Karuna asks her to come soon for Chat preparations. Meera turns to leave and Bani wants her to at least eat something before she leaves but Meera says that in the evening there's mehndi and Haldi ceremonies at the house so she has to rush. Ganga pipes up that her mother puts very good Mehndi Athat Meera invites them for evening function. One of the Thakurain's henchmen sees all this and runs to tell the thakurain that Bani's won the contract.
Preparations are on for the dinner and Ganga is helping her mother. She gets burnt and Bani asks her why she's running around. Ganga replies that her Papa's told her. Bani's shocked to hear this and Ganga says that there's a picture of her father on their wall. She takes Bani to see and Bani's looking all around and Ganga shows her the picture of the Lord Ram with Sita. She tells her that since her mother's name is Maithili another name for Sita andshe's never seen her father, she considers Lord Ram to be her father. They show Dadi sitting with a gaggle of grandchildren( whose are these??) and telling them the story of the Ramayana. She tells them that Ram and Sita were brought together by their offspring Luv and Kush and that its the children who are the bonds between parents. One of the kids asks her when the story ends and Dadi says that the story of Ramayana is played out in every age. Even today, Ram has thrown out his wife Sita but one day they will be brought together.
Ganga is sent by Bani to the grocer with a list of supplies. She climbs onto a rickshaw and goes to the shop. Jai and Adi are seen driving through the streets and Adi asks him what the hurry is to see the land. Jai says that he has no interest in this place except for the land. Adi sees the Chat puja preparations and tells Jai that this Puja is held to pray for the long life of the children. Jai tells him that he doesn't do puja as its for the weak and says that praying for the kids long life makes no sense for him. The car rolls over a pothole and splashes mud on Ganga who's angry and yells if they are blind and cannot see while driving. The car screeches to a halt and both Adi and Jai step out. Adi apologises and Ganga's anger melts as she recognizes JW as Meera's hubby and and quickily smiles at him and tells him its alright she'll go home and wash off the mud. JW goes to her and gives her 100 bucks. She keeps telling him that she cannot take it but he hands it to her and turns to leave. He hears Ganga give the money to a beggar anfd tell her to pray for JW's kids. JW freezes in remembered grief as he thinks of Krishna and Atharv's funerals. The screen splits showing JW on one side and the dead kids on the other to be replaced by Ganga's smiling face. Episode ends.
1. Amazing what a mockery is made of the symbols of marriage. People's MS's falling off, being repaired-- symbolism being turned on its head.
2. The Ganga/JW interactions are good and shows a lot of promise. Waiting for Jigz to enter the equation. This little kiddo reminds me of Pia in the initial stage of Ks, full of guts and attitude.
3. Have Rano/Raashi/Nattu no role whatsoever, not even any dialogue?? What a waste of actors.
