When the story of Kasamh Se was first shown, a tale of three sisters, we all fell in love with the character of Bani. Like most characters, she had her own little quirks, but the best qualities that we loved her for were her strength of character, her integrity and the way she loved so selfllessly.
Then came a twist in the story where due to the circumstances, pain and suffering that she went through Durga was born. Bani was shown to have transformed into Durga.
This character was pretty ill concieved to begin with, but in the end the best characterestic that was found in her was the ability to deal with fiends like Pia and Jigs, and to dish out to them in kind what they were dishing out to Bani for long. That she had learnt to fight fire with fire.
At present, according to the story here again, the creatives are shown to show again a transformation I suspect in a confused way from Durga to Bani. And in the process of showing that transformation showed her remembering her kasams to her mom.
Now, here is the question. We have all loved Bani dearly for her several wonderful qualities and would love to see them back. But, do we really want every quality of Bani back?
I for one would find it extremly hard to swallow if they allow her to start remembering her promises to her mom and forgive pia also because of that promise and go back to being the doormate for Jigs and sundry and her forgiving self and keep pia in her house.
