Kapoor is juggling time between her comeback serial and infant daughter Sia

It's been over a week since Gautami Kapoor replaced Smriti Iraani as Tulsi in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Gautami says she is now comfortable with the character, though initially stepping into Iraani's shoes wasn't easy.
Having a good time
"I was quite nervous on the first day. Who wouldn't be scared to take on a role that comes with so much baggage and expectations? But now I am having a good time playing Tulsi," she says.
The fact that she knows most of her co-stars helps, adds Gautami. "Lots of these actors know Ram (Kapoor, her husband), so I didn't feel like an outsider on the sets at all."
Apart from shooting for Kyunki, she has her year-old daughter Sia to take care of. "Sia was my only concern when I thought of getting back to work, but Balaji has given me flexible working hours wherein I can be with her at night. Throughout the day, my mother and mother-in-law take care of Sia."
Easy being Tulsi
Though it takes her two hours to travel from her Napean Sea Road apartment to the Kyunki sets in Goregaon, Gautami doesn't take more than five minutes to get ready.
"My look doesn't require me to wear any jewellery or pad my face with loads of make-up. I take barely five minutes to get ready and that, I think, is a real blessing!"
