ekta's inspiration

Hey guys,

I just finished reading a book –"the count of Monte cristo". It was a great book and very well written. i think ekta is very inspired by ALEXANDRE DUMAS the author of the book. Most of his novels consist of three basic elements-money, love and revenge.

In the book also the main lead is betrayed and trapped and send to jail. He escapes from the jail, changes his identity and comes back rich to take his revenge and succeeds. In ekta's serials also same thing happens.

I have noticed instead of trying to do something new ekta ends up doing the same thing with a bit of difference in all her serials, we can often [not often but always] find similarity in almost all her serials. well in the beginning kasamh se was very different though.

Lets just list out the serials having common tracks.

Let me begin:

Kahaani ghar ghar kii and kasamh se, after the leap

Kasamh se and karam apna apna, jai had ONS with pia and shiv has ONS with ipshita.

Kasturi and kaisa yeh pyaar hai, robby and angad are rockstars and end up loving middle-class girls.

You all can surely add to the list.

I agree... 😊 But still we end up getting addicted to it... 😆 You have to admit, however much we critisize these serials, it is Ekta's serials we talk about, it is Ekta's serials we get addicted to... 😃 Don't you agree? 😉

because initially the story is potentially attractive and later on we turn to the potential viewers as we are not left with any other option

The reason why Mayi recycles the basic storyline is because that's what the viewers love!

As she said in KWK "The trend continues darling..."

(It's a different thing that Kreatives turn us crazy with absurd twists!!)

Her shows are inspired by books more than authors but you might be right since you read the book 😊
