Is Bani Deserving Of Our Sympathy

Hi All

Having watched a few episodes of Jeete Hain Jiske Liye, I couldn't help notice the differences
between JHJL's Anjali and Bani despite the similarity in their situations. You could actually
feel that Anjali went through some kind of ordeal, she came out of prison looking like a character
who served a harsh 20 year jail sentence unlike our Ms Dixit who looks like has she spent the last 5 years
in the lap of luxury (which she has). I am not saying this diminshes Bani's pain of being
seperated from her kids and it has to manifest itself in an outward physical
appearnace but with her spagetti strap salwar kameezes, jangly earrings and blue nails, she
hardly paints the picture of motherly suffering.

Yes, they took her children away from her, but it's hard to feel that sorry for her since from all
outward appearances she seems to have done mighty fine. She has the friendship and companionship
of the 3 clone sisters (however annoying they may be), certainly enough money at her disposal to
sit around all day doing nothing except burn pictures and of course she has Deb (however tortorous
he is on the ears, he is quite easy on the eye).

Her situation looks even rosier when compared to Rano's who has spent the last 5 years, raising
4 kids, as well as holding a position in Walia industries. Yes, Rano has the support of a
great friend but not that of a loving spouse. I think most women will find Rano's situation
of being a working mom, far more relatable than this Durga Das Gupta - they stole my kids -
nonsense.

I think the problem is, when the revenge gets dragged,
with Bani doing nothing except mouthing dialogues against Jai and burning photos, the audience tend to get irritated and we sometimes forget why she is taking revenge. Moreover, here Bani seems to have all these misunderstandings against Jai (thanks to the creatives) and this also tends to annoy!

We can only blame the creatives cos they have combined two revenge tracks of AD and Bani. Bani can never have her proper revenge unless she knows the truth about being used by AD. He knows facts about Jai which he has hidden from Bani. So hurting Jai is ultimately going to cause her the most pain.

If the creatives show Jai as either helping Bani indirectly in her revenge or letting himself be destroyed by her, then again the audience is not going to sympathise with Bani as she will be shown hurting the man who whole-heartedly loves her.

The creatives have to clear JB misunderstandings, make Jai and Bani strong and cunning (cunning is required against Pia and AD) only then will both characters have equal sympathy from the audience.

I don't know why the creatives are not showing JB and AD, Pia having a cat and mouse game, each trying to outsmart the other. The track will move along and make it more interesting. I for one want to see Jai and Bani strong and smart like they were before!! And JB also together, its so annoying to see them always seperated and in pain!

I sympathised with Bani when she was in the mental asylum - you could see her pain then!

But with Durga Dasgupta, all we see is blank!.....We're getting no expressions of hurt!.....Maybe that's because the Kreatives want to show that Durga has toughened up and now nothing can affect her, therefore making her stronger for her revenge!

But in reality, we can't connect with the character and therefore all we see is Bani as a puppet in AD's hands!

As Bani has transformed into Durga, there has been nothing. The creatives did a bad part on the style/get up of Durga and some of the scenes are etchy. Like when she is meeting her kids at the school. I felt nothing! Shouldnt she have shown more emotion??

As for Rano, you can see her pain, her suffering.

That's right we sympathize with Bani and Rano's name was never mention although she also deserves to be sympathized with.

However, the credit of looking after the 4 children in the last five years return to Rano.

Rano is really a very good sister and mother too. 👏
