Maybe A. Dev is some guy from their past and Rano has
called upon him to help Bani coz she is so helpless.
I seriousLy doubt Jai has anything to do with it...1st of all A. Dev is jai's
business rival secondly the way the way they have portrait-ed Jai's character implies that he can't plan ahead...he just deals with current situations.
I mean jai can't react instantly, he has never been one to have a game plan.
To bring A.Dev to India to help Bani needs a lot of motivation and
something deep.
In reference to the promo:
Besides IF Jai had bought Dev to help Bani then Bani wont be standing
next to Dev avenging Jai. IF A. Dev was from Jai's side then he would
have told Bani that. A. Dev is somebody from Bani's gang of friends and allies....
I hope he is connected to Bani through her past or Rano or Pushkar...Tarun's character already got shaded/lost appeal towards the end with that obsessive disease and his open claims of love for Bani
