New Year Resolutions
Jai Walia
- To rely more on my own capacities in every Department. And to use my capacities in the right place and at the right time.
- To make redundant any extra time available to my wife and keeping her 'well' engaged (cough cough) so that she doesn't have any time for 'other' activities.
- To keep away from my sisters-in-law and especially from slime balls and reptiles.
- To get top designers design an exclusive range of black suits and attires for me this New Year so as to escalate my 'hotness quotient'.
- To eat cornflakes every morning so that my brain functions as fast as the female members of my family.
- To STOP believing everybody under the sun.
- To concentrate on my business. Don't remember the last time I concentrated on my work. No wonder Ranveer wished to take it over. Wish he would also take up my other problems especially the one that starts with P.
- To disown Jigyaasa as my Sister. Is she adopted? But whom do I ask now?
- I really PRAY that I get back my sexy avatar. Without that, I would hardly get any 'support'. Come on, 40 year old guys are supposed to be sexy and hot, NOT Budhdhas.
- To stop being a JAIDAS, no matter what. But what the hell, booze hurts less than women, I guess.
Bani Walia nee Dixit
- To confide in others (esp. MY husband) when it comes to my own departmental activities. Will help him to shed the extra flab and make him utterly huggable, more than ever.
- To be an ideal SITA to my ideal RAM.
- To stop being the martyr for everybody's sake in the family, especially the GFNs … (please fill in according to your wishes)
- To shower such lovely smiles to my amorous husband so that he concentrates more on me, rather than on anything and everything in skirts.
- To throw my GFN sister out of the Walia Mansion.
- In fact, the biggest aim is to throw away all GFNs from the Walia Mansion so that we love birds get the perfect time and mood every time to recreate more and more of 19/6/06.
- To slid into a super-sexy avatar for private viewing of my (ahem) husband only. Trespassing is strictly prohibited. (Maybe a few IF KS-ians will be allowed).
- To find out each and very raaz of the Walia and Dixit clans and solve them relentlessly.
- To agree to my Husband's request for the umpteenth number of honeymoons et al. Don't even care if he takes me to the Poles as long as the cold doesn't get to me. And he keeps me warm, happy and contented.
- To engage in the staring contest whenever and wherever possible with my 'Cuddles' Husband.
Billoo Maasi
- To make sure I don't dance along with Beeji in every Walia function and torture the audience.
- To ensure that I don't turn into a confirmed GFN for my Munna and Bahu. Part time is still ok though not pardonable.
- To ensure more 'Jiya Dhadak Dhadak' Sessions between my Munna and Munni.
- To make sure I don't feed any more laddoos to My Munna. I am responsible for his weight gain.
- To bless Munna's Munna or Munni this very year. I am not getting younger, but these two aren't listening? Or does it seem like that? They are pulling the wool over my eyes, I am sure.
- To keep Jigyaasa away from Bani and co. She's detrimental for the happiness of the Walia khandaan.
- To help Aditya and Beeji in torturing Jigs.
- To tell THE Truth to Jai no matter what and treat him like a grown up.
- To create a positive attitude in the house and use my faculty to identify the Reptiles from the Amphibians and Humans.
- To go on very short leaves. My stints away from the WM are always heaped with sensational happenings.
Dadi
- To make Jigyaasa's life miserable. That should cover for 1-10 of my New Year's Resolution for 2007.
- To HELP Aditya in making Jigs life miserable and also team up with Tarun.
- To partner Billoo in creating J-D-D scenarios for my favourite pair in the House, yup you guessed it right – JnB. Didn't need brains I guess.
- To produce and direct a Film called ' Ishq – Jai aur Bani eeshtyle'.
- To stay young at heart and of course, torture Jigyaasa.
Aditya Bali
- To continue being the SUN in Jigyaasa's life and help her (read torture) in a different way, after being ably helped by Ma and Maasi.
- To be my sweet and cool self.
- To remain the President of the Jai and Bani Forever Camp.
- After having brought Ranveer to the mainline, its time to send Saahil to the side lines.
- To support Jai N Bani under any circumstances.
Tarun Sablok
- To be the NEW Man in Jigyaasa's life.
- To appear in parties and events only, God I think I have forgotten that I am a lawyer.
- To stop myself form being confused and decide which side I am. Created quite a fiasco in 2006 by being Jai's lawyer once and then discussing case with Barnali.
- To stop making eyes at everyone – Bani, Jigs, this new girl (what's her name whatever) and others. Only Bani remained unaffected, tough luck!!!
- To decide for once and for all whether I want to settle down or not, irrespective of Jigs presence.
Jigyaasa Walia
- To throw Bani out of the WM. Doesn't matter even if it breaks my Brother's heart.
- To throw Pia out of WM after her role as a pawn in my hand is over. Its well said – All the World's a Stage.
- To throw Rano out of WM and free my GFN son, Saahil out of her clutches. He will support me more now.
- To ensure that Ranveer doesn't follow the Anu-way and warm up to other relations in the Family. This would really mean that he has gone after his Dad.
- To stay out of reach of Jai Bhaiyya's hands. I think I have had enough thappads for my lifetime. Not that they teach me anything at all.
Pia Shukla nee Dixit (wannabe Walia)
1. To try to forget Mr. Vollya, if that's possible at all.
2. To stay away from Rano cos I have had enough of her thappads for this lifetime. But I am in a dilemma. On that same count, I should stay away from Mr. Vollya also. But, his magnetism draws me to him. Kya karron? Aur baki sab toh just 'ho gaya'.
3. To stay out of Pushkar's way too.
4. To be sure about my baby's parentage – puppy or lion? Oh God, I am so confused. Haven't used my brains all through my life.
5. To stop being a parasite to Di and also stop treating WM as an orphanage.
Rano Bali nee Dixit
1. To make sure that Pia stays away from Didi and the Walia Mansion forever.
2. To ensure that Saahil knows his place in our relationship. And as to who wears the pants in our conjugal life.
3. To make Mummyji's life miserable by teaming up with Raashi.
4. To make a place for myself in the Walia corporate ladder.
5. To support Didi in everything.
Pushkar Shukla
1. To forget that Pia even existed in my life.
2. To start life afresh. Maybe I will be lucky this time.
3. To give up my role of Dr. Watson to Bani's Holmes and try to do something worthwhile and build a life for myself.
4. To ensure that I REMAIN a friend to Bani and nothing else.
5. To forgive Jai Sir later and also to thank him later for taking that burden away from me.
Ranveer Bali
- To finally decide what I want – to stay a Brahmachari forever or enter the Grihaasta stage with Raashi. To consider my Home as MY Mandir for time being.
- To step aside from under my Mommy Dearest's Pallu.
- To follow my Jai Mama's footsteps. Only difference will be the booze and probably his luck in women.
- To make RnR a favourite couple just like the JnB jodi.
- To team up with my Darling Wife and Father. And to stay happy and contented forever.
Saahil Bali
1. To try not to be a first-class loser in Life
2. To try and appreciate my Wife and her intentions
3. To try not to smirk unnecesarily when its not needed at all.
4. To try to get back to my old self of being the statue of the WM.
5. To try and love Rano if thats possible since I dont deserve her.
Raashi Bali nee Chopra
- To find more cockroaches in the bedroom. Will give me some time to be close to my husband.
- To fulfill all my duties responsibility. Just cos I followed Bani Mami's footsteps, Ranveer is now all set to follow Mamaji's footsteps.
- To be very good friends with Nachiket.
- to listen to Mummyji's taunts and not react. Who wants chapters of The Mahabharata being recreated in the house?
- To be a good wife and hopefully a good Mother. Ranveer, are you listening?
Nachiket Walia
- To consider an alternative career in being a chef. Without Mom, I am doing nothing in the business arena.
- To be my usual naughty self and try to infuse life in this otherwise 'cold' WM.
- To decide whether I stay a bad guy or a good guy.
- To ensure that my cell flashes "Bhabhi calling" rather than 'Bani calling'.
- To try not to get to the wrong side of my half-brother.
- To make Jigs Didi's life miserable. Really she is such an art.
The Creator
Ekta Kapoor
1. To keep on torturing the KS-iians
2. To try and keep KS as different from my other K-serials though the present story line may be rehashed from my other serials.
3. To congratulate my Team of Destructives for performing their duties well – that of ruining KS.
4. To shift my Balaji Telefilms Office to some other safe place, after reciving so many threats from the IF-KSiians.
5. To get married this year so that I undersdtand the sanctity of those scared vows better and not make a mockery of the institution of marriage in my serials. Well, they could be called 'Serial Marriage Killers'.
