Very believable that Bani stays angry with Jai and is not having her life ruined by him and their parents.

she is not dumb, she knows what she wants out of life

To me it feels that only when Jai is going to really feel something for Bani, unescapable attraction, she will loosen up and allow her love for him to gradually come back. Only when it's going to look real bad for Pia, will the marriage of J/B come insight.

haven't gotten there yet, am trying to handle one chapter at a time

(But so far Jai is taking things far too easy, a matter of business, and happily it's Bani, who realizes that for her there is far more at stake than just three years of a convenient arrangement.)
