I can read your mind
And I know your story
I see what you're going through
It's an uphill climb
And I'm feeling sorry
But I know it will come to you
Don't surrender
'Cause you can win
In this thing called Love
When you want it the most
There's no easy way out
When you're ready to go
And your heart's left in doubt
Don't give up on your faith
Love comes to those who believe it
And that's the way it is
When you question me
For a simple answer
I don't know what to say
But its plain to see
If you stick together
You're gonna find the way
So don't surrender
'Cause you can win
In this thing called Love
When life is empty
With no tomorrow
And loneliness starts to call
Baby don't worry
Forget your sorrow
'Cause love's gonna conquer it all
So don't surrender
'Cause you can win
In this thing called Love
- Celine Dion
This song is a dedication to my poor hunnybun and Cuddles for whom Love is definitely proving to be a much bigger bargain than they had actually hoped for. And I really don't like seeing tears in either of their eyes. But, life is not as simple as we would like it to be and varied ordeals and tribulations are all laid across our idyllic paths. And for these two, the ordeals have just started. But, I would love them to hold onto their faith on each other, the fact that they cannot live without each other and that they are trying to help each other, when in reality they are hurting each other more and more every passing day, with varying proportions.
Whatever we may all say, I am happy that Bani has at least found a confidant in Raashi, it was extremely necessary because otherwise she ran the risk of becoming insane. No, she can't share with her sisters because they are thinking differently (sometimes I wonder whether they have ever understood Bani at all and taken her for granted) but it is only with Raashi, with whom she has formed a bond based on the strange marital situations that they have found themselves to be within the same family. Indeed, life is not fair at all.
It appears that this time Bani has actually played a very big gamble since she tells Raashi that the papers that she told about in the breakfast table regarding the house was false and that she needed Raashi to get the originals. I would say that Raashi is probably taking a very great risk, but then maybe she is trying to save a marriage and love between two lovely individuals, albeit caught in a vicious circle, since she knows very well that her marriage with Ranveer is a farce and that probably there is nothing to lose. Brave girl, I must say. Now enter the two greatest idiots on Earth. I just love it when Bani refuses to speak to Pia and the pea-brainer wilts under her scalding gaze. I am confused a little about Rano's stand, isn't she happy that Bani has returned or is she thinking of her own marriage only? What was that crap about what Mr. Walia would be thinking about Bani's re-entry into the mansion? I will tell you what, don't even bother to think about that – concentrate on making notes for yourself and your pretty husband (if u are still studying) – and leave the feeling, emotional department to your elder sister and her husband. Or you need to get your glasses changed if you tell me that you have missed those aankh-micholi games. Believe me, its those trying eye-locking sessions that send the Forum into a tizzy every time it happens (at least, it affects me). Bani answers her correctly that it's her life and she knows what she's doing.
Now, we shift to Ranveer and Jigs. Lollz, Ranveer, poor guy, gets a dressing down this time from his red-looking Mamma who tells him in no uncertain terms that he is a flop as to where Bani and her intentions are concerned and that from now onwards, Jigs herself will determine the fate of the Walia household. Very commendable. The banshee (dressed in red – I think I cant anymore see the colour for what it is neutrally) next goes to Mausi and Dadi and tries her level-best to explain to them that Bani has not returned for love but for taking over her share of the divorce proceedings. Jigs' play acts before them that she doesn't care what happens to their house or porpertry or business whatever, she is only concerned about Jai Bhaiyya's happiness, which will be at stake now that Bani has returned to the house. She starts crying before them telling them that she only has the best intentions about Jai Bhaiyya and would do anything to keep him happy. What hypocrisy Jigs!!! You should get a thappad each from all members of the KS Forum, then you will know what rubbish you were talking about.
Thanks God, finally we have another cute , hilarious moment between Dadi, Jigs and Aditya when Adi and Dadi keeps on hitting out at Jigs continuosly, telling her that it seemed that she has set fire to the kitchen once again. The scene is very funny guys and you have to actually see it, I cant even describe it. BTW, I always feel that Adi-Jigs make a very funny pair and that they never take their separation issue seriously, with the obvious hilarious results. A mood elevating scene, must say!!!
Finally, Mr. Walia is back to his room, from work, when he finds a vaseful of white lilies on the table. He immediately remembers that on a previous occasion too he had been surprised to find white lilies in his room, when Bani had informed him that she had come to know about his liking for this flower from Mausi and so had got it for him. Jai is visibly touched and tells her that she is being so caring about his likings, when in reality they hardly knew each other. Bani repied back sweetly that maybe there was no love or friendship in their relation, but of course they were two individuals who understood each other. Awww, so cute these two are. Then Jai lovingly tells her that though the flowers are beautiful, yet he finds her saath to be the most beautiful thing in the world. OMG, what a fresh dose of romance, I am totally floored. Now, we know what these two duffers were doing behind our backs all these time and to think of it, we are still arguing here as to who loves who more.
Cut to the present – Jai immediately realizes that Bani is in the House, he rushes down the stairs to be met with a distraught looking Mausi, who informs him that Bani is indeed in the house but … Jai doesn't even let her finish her dialogue, he rushes off to find Bani, just like a kid participating in a treasure hunt.
Now, for one of the most touching scenes till date – Jai, in his search for Bani, is passing hurriedly past rooms when he comes to locate Bnai, through the open door, standing in a room, crying desperately and silently, feeling miserable and looking all alone and lost. He moves towards the door and Bani also glances up at that moment and we have another intense eye-duelling session. Just look at them and you understand what these two feel about each other. Bani also moves gingerly towards the door and when she reaches it, she closes the door, turns around with her back towards the door and then breaks down completely, covering her mouth with her hand so that no sobs would escape. Jai looks in through the glass panes of the door and then turns and walks away. At that moment, Bani turns around and sees a departing Jai, her eyes awash with love, helplessless and sorrow. A beautiful scene, where in the end, the camera closes in on Bani's eyes to catch her emotions.
Now, now, it would be simply preposterous to blame Bani now. Yes, she is keeping the cards close to her chest and the physical distance that she maintains from Jai is her biggest self defence, because she knows that she loves him the most in the entire world, and close proximity would not allow her to emerge stronger to meet all the challenges that life ahs thrown up in the path. Prachi is definitely back, she's too good today and Ram was simply wonderful. Their chemistry seems to be improving every day and its so palpable that you can actually feel it sitting in front of your TV. Jigs, a little less makeup will not harm you, you know. But it will go a long way in protecting us from harm, what say?
Looks like very interesting scenes are coming up – so keep your seatbelts fastened. I am sure the ride will definitely be worth it.
