Now I know there has been innumerable posts in regard to this epi and I had missed all the wonderful discussion but I had to post my view even if it is late! 😛 SO I finally saw the infamous JW speech epi!
Starting from the beginning....I mentioned trust and love and the stage of relationship in my previous post....after seeing Bani with her sindoor in this epi it was confirmed that her heart still yearned for JW! It wasn't just her routine habit but more a symbolism that theirs was a relationship to stay....or so I gathered from Mai. You know me and her have this ESP thing going so I tend to catch her hints and symbolisms even better her! 😉 Bani's irritation when TS spoke about gathering info of JW's assets only confirmed that she was doing it not for the money but with another purpose. Yes I watched it after the truth was revealed but it's nice to go back sometimes and see if we did catch the hints that were thrown towards us by Mai 😉
I loved how caring JW was when as soon as Bani leaves he asks TS to follow her to make sure she's fine....itna pyaar kaise kar baithe JW! 😳 I also LOVED the smirk he had playing on his face when TS asked him how he could trust Bani that much!
Now finally the much talked about scene! "Tumhe kyon lagta hai ki main pagal hoon.....main pagal nahi hoon" - kitna kuch keh gaya sirf in 2 lino mein! 😳 They say a man speaks the truth when he's drunk....I suppose JW did the same. He's realised that his relationship with Bani has surpassed the level of insanity. What he has with Bani is a mature understanding, a relationship of atoot vishvaas, of respect and communication at a higher level. What he hasn't realised though is that HIS definition of love isn't matching up with what he truly has with Bani and hence isn't able to pinpoint it! TS got it right the first time so JW doesn't argue with him and asks him to believe that it's love if that's what he really does think. Now the ball is in JW's court. What he needs to realise is that the definition of love that he has formulated in his head (about falling head over heels for someone, being obsessed with someone, in short maybe the initial stages of love) is not in fact the whole truth. He admits that Bani has taught him what is important in life, she brought reason into his life.....in other words she shared with him what a WIFE would with a HUSBAND. That is not to say that a husband and wife can survive on just understanding but every relationship goes through stages. And JW's definition of love focuses primarily just on the first stage. What he needs to do is step back to see that what he has with Bani is the comfort, trust and understanding that couples build over years of their relationship. He redeems himself to an extent when he says that love isn't a storm that destroys life but is a wisp of wind which touches your heart (LOVED those dialogues btw!). But I still think that he hasn't entirely understood what LOVE truly is himself....so he can't have realised that he LOVES Bani. He's at a stage in his relationship with Bani where it's beyond just love and though he might realise that he hasn't realised that the stage isn't devoid of love either! In short I don't feel like JW himself has realised that he is in LOVE with Bani coz what he feels for her doesn't match up with his definition of LOVE! Wow...that was long but had to make up for all that I missed out on! 😉
Now moving on to RK's acting in that one scene! NOTHING SHORT OF BRILLIANCE! The pain in his eyes and voice, the JW essence of command over the subject of love, the comfort, the glint in the eye while talking about her, the mockery of Tarun's thoughts, the smirk on his face throughout, the carefree attitude in druken stupor....EVERY SINGLE DAMN THING WAS BRILLIANT! We knew that RK was a magnificient actor and this one scene just helped him reclaim that stature! RK Kudos to you for executing it to the T and giving it more than your best! 👏 👏 NO other actor could've executed it to that extent! BEAUTIFUL RK! Just SUPERB! 👏 👏 You make us proud as your fans esp at times like these! 😃
Well after watching that scene everything pales in front of it so not much left to say really 😛 It was disturbing to see Pushky and Bani together so much but what was encouraging also was that JW despite seeing them together did not have an ounce of doubt in him. So great is his faith in Bani that he wouldn't even for a second doubt his wife's loyalty....now if we can only hope that pays off when Pia tells him about Bani's love for Pushky! 😛
And the last thing I wanted to mention was Jigs' hair....man I was actually ok with her new style when she initially came back from her vacation but in this epi it was THE WORST EVER! I don't think I've seen a worse hairstyle on the show at least! 🤢 Someone was def having a bad hair day! 😛 And yet TS thought she looked beautiful? 😕 Accha vakeel hoga par nazar thodi si kamzoor hai bechare ki 😛 Again Ranveer looked like his Oedipus complex was acting up so I just sucked it up and watched quickly till the end.
All said and done RK's brilliance in that one scene is def worth the crap that Kekta dishes out otherwise. I guess if not RK/JW I prolly wouldn't have stuck around while Mai made a mockery of my intelligence but boy am I glad I did! 😳
