Episode 20
Next morning when Bani came to the office, Ranveer was already there n it seemed like he was bz in his work. Bani goes to her place n finds a single red rose on the table. She immediately luks at Ranveer but he seemed like he was unaware of all this. She thought to herself that, "y is she thinking that this rose must be from him, since he didn't talk abt this at all yesterday. he might not have the same feelings abt her as she does abt him. N how stupid was of her to take such a step n make a fool out of herself." She grabs the rose n keeps it in her file in a very irritated manner. Ranveer watched her from the corner of his eye n as if understood what she was trying to say, he smiled to himself n thought of coming back to it after the work.
The delegate was abt to arrive at noon, after lunch. N so everyone was bz n so were Ranveer n Bani. Bani goes out to lunch with Rohit again as Ranveer had back to back meetings scheduled in his calender for today.
Bani came back from lunch n stepped inside the elevator. She saw that the elevator was packed with people. Right when the elevator was abt to close, some guy peeped inside n handed a box to Bani. Even b4 Bani cud ask anything to that guy or even look at the guy, he was gone n the elevator closed. She luked on her sides n the people were watching her. She smiled n opened the box slowly n found a very pretty colored bangles. The elevator stopped n some of the people stepped out. N then Bani found a chit inside the box. She opened it n read it. It said, "tumse zyaada, shayad tumhari chudiyon se meri dosti hai, jo bin pooche meri madad karti rehti hai. Tumse pehle har baat ka ehsaas dila deti hai."
Bani was confused n was trying to figure out who send these bangles as there was no name on the box or the chit she found. She was in her own thoughts n didn't realize that the elvator was empty. Almost empty. Then suddenly she heard someones voice that said, "Aur yeh tohfa isliye taake, tumhari dil ki baat, tumhari zabaan se nikalwaane ke liye, shayad yeh phir se meri madad karde." Bani froze at the voice as if she realized whose voice it cud be. N then she turned slowly to find Ranveer standing at the back resting his body by the wall of the elvator. He had his hands folded and seemed like he was there all the time staring at her.
Ranveer stepped forward towards her n Bani clutched her dupatta tight. She was scared to death n cudnt blink once. Ranveer stood few inches away from her n luked into her eyes n said, "kyu? Sach kaha na maine?"
Bani cudnt understand what was going on, so she asked, "ji??"
Ranveer traced her features with his eyes n then slowly said, "tumhare dil mein koi baat hai, jo shayad tum mujhse kehna chahti thi. Tumhari chudiya, sahi waqt per hamesha sahi kaam karti hai."
Bani understood now, what he was trying to say. She understood his game, n also realized that yesterday it was her bangles that woke him up. She with a very smiling but serious face said, "haan, kehna toh tha, Mr. Walia. Yehi ke media ke liye arrangements hum karna bhool gaye. Main Roshniji ko bata kar aati hoon."
For her luck, the elevator also stopped on time n she stepped out. Ranveer rested on the wall casually n stared at the door after her. He thought in his mind that, "tumse toh main tumhari dil ki baat kehelwaake hi rahoonga." He smiled to himself and pushed the close button on the elevator to go up to his office.
The Australian delegate arrive n everyone gets bz in organizing n performing their roles as a good host. The media arrived as well n there was a huge rush at conference room door by the lobby. People were asking questions to the Australian clients and the Walia group of Industries's organizers. Aditya, Roshni, and Ranveer were the main ones who were answering the questions. Rohit was somewhere inside the conference room doing the one last check on the things.
Bani was standing bside Ranveer by the door n was getting pushed by the media people. She was getting all stomped by the crowd around her. In all that rush, Ranveer put his hand around Baniz waist n pulled her closer. Bani froze n luked at Ranveer but Ranveer was looking straight and answering questions. He didn't seemed like it affected him at all of what Bani thought. Ranveer, with his hand still around Baniz waist, slowly moved Bani to his other side, pulling her away from the crowd by the door n was still bz talking to the media people. But, even though he moved Bani to the other side, he didn't leave her.
Baniz heart was racing fast, so fast that she cud feel her heart beating in her ears. It was a sweet pain that she was feeling n she, herself, didn't wanted to move away from his hold. But since everyone was around, she tried to get loose n she succeeded coz Ranveer moved his hand away from her waist. Bani took a relieved breath, but to her astonishment, she found Ranveer holding her hand now n the grip was so tight as though it seemed he didn't wanted her to pull herself away. Bani looked at him with loving but requesting look n this time Ranveer did turn to look at her as well. She saw this sparkle in his eyes which seemed like he was enjoying what he was doing n Bani knew that he was doing this intentionally.
Bani looked at Ranveer with a requesting look in her eyes as though saying, "Please let me go." Ranveer was studying Bani with his smiling eyes for few seconds n then slowly let go of her hand. Bani froze, when she realized that he was no longer holding her hand. She smiled to herself n left. N Ranveer turned to the crowd, n even though he still had this sparkle in his eyes, he kept his expression serious.
Aditya was standing right opposite to Ranveer on the other side of the door n had seen the whole thing. Earlier, he was having these kind of doubts abt Ranveer n Bani, but this time he saw it with his own eyes. He got worried for his son. He thought to himself, that its time we shud get serious abt some things in life n start talking abt it.
