Stranger" shhā¦ Jaiā¦ if your not alone then you better be somewhere where you are.
The person on the phone scared Jai so much that he listened and headed towards the study room. Bani stood to follow but Jai stopped her with a motion of his hand.
Jai entered the room and closed the door.
Jai: What do you think your doing calling me! How dare youā¦. You should be rotting somewhere and don't ever call me again
Roshini: oh hold on Jai before you cut the phone I thought I'd let you know that I heard about Dhruv and am terribly sorry (sarcastic)
Jai: Dhruv? HOW DO YOU KNOW! Roshini what have you done?
Roshini: Calm down Jai. Why is that when something goes wrong you always blame me. Shanti Jai..Shanti!
Jai: Shut up Roshini!
Roshini: shhh Jai you should really learn to control your anger. You know you still haven't changed. You remember that one night when we were at the parkā¦.
Jai: Roshini ENOUGH! Don't you dare call me again!
Roshini: hahaha Jai Jai Jaiā¦ I'm sure you will want me to callā¦ OH in all this talk I forgot to give you a presentā¦ here listenā¦
On the other side of the phone a child's cry could be heard.
Jai: DHRUV!
Roshini: Mana pare ga Jai! You can recognize your son.. not bad
Jai: ROSHINI WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH HIM!
Roshini: ENOUGH JAI. I'm done with joking around. How do you plan to stay happy with your 'PERFECT' family when I'm here alone!
Jai: Roshini please give my son backā¦ I'll give you anything
Roshini: Now we are talking business. You'll get your son back but you'll have to do two things for me!
Jai: I'LL DO IT ā¦ but nothing should happen to Dhruv
Roshini: Woa Jai.. don't you want to hear what I wantā¦ I want you to DIVORCE BANI, MARRY ME and second sign all your property over to me and my bhaiya!!
Jai: WHAT ROSHINI! HOW DARE YOU ASK THAT!
Roshini: Jai if you want your son back then you will have to do what I say. And don't you dare to call the police because you know what I'm capable of. Your son won't be able to see the light of next day. Think hard Jai..
Jai: ROSHINI I WON'Tā¦..
But all of sudden a hand stopped him from going furtherā¦
Bani (whispering and in tears): Mr. Waliaā¦ do what she wantsā¦ I want Dhruv back
Bani had heard the whole conversation. When Jai left the room she knew something was wrong.
Jai holding his hand over the phone: Bani you don't know what she is asking. She wants me to hand over all my property over to her and her brother. I'm willing to do that but Bani ican't do the second thing she wants
Bani:Mr. Walia.. please. Mujhe mera Dhruv wapas chaiyia.
Jai: Bani she wants me to divorce you and marry her
Bani's heart almost stopped. Her face stood still. The tears stopped and she was all in shock. Finally she spoke
Bani: Do it Mr. Walia. Say yes
Jai: Bani ā¦ what are you saying
Bani: Please trust meā¦ for our child's sake
She placed her hand on his heart and he placed his hands on top of hers. Both in tears Jai, not wanting, gave his answer. He placed his phone on his ear..
Jai (Whispering): I'll do it
Roshini with trills and laughing on the other hand: I thought it take forever to respond;ā¦ Good Jai.. I assure you, you've made the right decision! I'll keep you more happy then that Bani ever couldā¦ I'll call back to give you the time and place we'll meet for you to sign the papers! Luv you (as she kissed the phone and hung the phone up in smiles)
Jai closed his eyes and slowly moved the phone down! He was in tears and he starred at Bani who still had her hand placed on his heart!. She closed her eyes as well and placed her head on his chest trying to digest the news about finally knowing where her son is but also knowing who he is with.
Jai embraced her and both stood there still confused to how they would get their son back.. Jai finally broke the silence
Jai: Baniā¦. you know how much I love and trust you. How can I divorce you and marry her. Bani how could you make me say yes
Bani: Mr. Walia we have to be strongā¦ I have a plan to get our son backā¦ I will not let my family breakā¦ Roshini will get for what she did
Jai starred at his wife and he finally gained the confidence he saw in his wife's eyes
What is Bani's plan... will Bani truly divorce Jai to get Dhruv.. stay tuned...
