Sorry Jai and Bani lovers...today's a totally Ranveer and Raashi episode...i tried and tried, but couldn't come up with a Jai and Bani scene!...sowwy!!

M: Ranveer beta…where are you going so late?!!

Ranveer, who had been making his way towards the front door, stopped at Mausi's voice and turned around…

R: Actually Mausi…I have to go to a business party…mamaji was supposed to go but then some urgent work came up…

M: Ok beta…

Raashi: Wait!!

Mausi and Ranveer turned around to see Raashi hurrying down the steps trying to cram the last of her accessories in her bag…panting slightly she quickly took Mausi blessings and beamed at Ranveer while slipping her arm through his…

Raashi: Shall we go?!!

Ranveer sighed and tried to explain to her once again…

R: Raashi…you can't go with me to the party!!

Raashi: Why Ranveer?!!

Stamping her foot in frustration she turned to her strongest weapon - Mausi…

Raashi: Look Mausi…he's being so mean!!…what am I meant to do at home alone?!!…Sahil and Anu have gone out with their friends, and Rano's at her sisters place!!….what am I meant to do on my own?!!

M: Ranveer beta…let her go with you!

R: But Mausi…

She put a hand up to silence him and Ranveer knew he had been beaten…sighing he unwillingly nodded…Raashi gave Mausi a tight hug while saving her smug smile for Ranveer before dragging him out of the house…

Stifling a yawn, Raashi looked around at the mass of people dancing and drinking, all the time talking about so and so project and how Mr. Whatsit had made a huge profit or an unfortunate loss…staring at her watch for the umpteenth she willed it to go faster but the second hand refused to budge causing Raashi to curse Ranveer again…standing only a few feet away from her, he was engrossed in a conversation and seemed unaware of her presence like he had been since they'd entered the party two hours ago…she had spent that time standing in one corner bored out of her skull…

The party in itself was not that bad…the decorations were beautiful and the several couples close dancing under the dim lights didn't fail to bring a smile to her lips…if only Ranveer would ask to dance, she thought wistfully to herself…

"Excuse Me"

Raashi was pulled out of her daydream (which involved some serious eye-locking between her and Ranveer) by a young man standing in front of her…looking at his dimpled smile and slightly ruffled hair, the first thing that came to her mind was Cute!!

A: I'm Ayush Malhotra…I hope you're enjoying my party…

Smiling Raashi introduced herself and shook hands with him, glad to have finally got some company…

A: I was wondering if you'd like to dance?!

Raashi tilted her head to one side and raised her eyebrow…

Raashi: do you ask all of your female guests to dance?!

Laughing at her remark he shook his head and replied in a soft tone…

A: Just the special ones…

This time it was Raashi's turn to laugh…Ayush seemed quite sweet, but what she really wanted to do right now was grab Ranveer and get out of this party…she was just about to refuse when she caught sight of Ranveer who was looking at them sceptically…deciding to have some fun she agreed and allowed herself to be led away by Ayush…

Ranveer took another drink from the bar and turned his attention towards Raashi and the guy again…he had seen the guy lead Raashi on to the dance floor and had watched as the two seemed to get on very well…both were in a deep conversation and the way Raashi had laughed told Ranveer that the guy had just cracked some joke…noticing that the guys hand had inched a few centimetres up Raashis back, Ranveer put his drink down and crossed the distance between the bar and dance floor in a few quick strides…he would put an end to this nonsense once and for all…

R: Excuse me…may I?!!

Ayush looked over at Ranveer in confusion…he had been getting on very well with Raashi and the last thing he wanted to do was hand her over to the man standing in front of her who had spoken to him with a certain coldness in his voice…reluctantly he told Raashi that he would talk to her later and left them two…

Ranveer took Raashis hand and gave her a cold stare which she returned with her usual cheery smile…as soon as Ayush was out of earshot he rounded on her…

R: Who was he?!!

Trying to suppress her grin she raised her eyebrow and feigned innocence…

Raashi: Who was who?!

R: Raashi!!…I didn't bring you to this party so you could mess around with boys…stay away from that guy, something about him doesn't look right!!

Almost laughing aloud at this ridiculous remark, Raashi replied in a teasing voice…

R: Are you jealous?!!

Ranveer looked at her with a stern expression…

R: I'm not joking…

Grinning at him she made it clear that she didn't believe a word…
