I know that I am in strict minority, but still since this is a reasonably democratic forum, I would like to view my opinon on what I think is happening in KS!
Somehow, inspite of the obvious pain that Jai Walia is undergoing, my heart still goes out for Bani!
Just because Jai is mopping his tears in private and tearing apart his heart for the child he supposedly cannot have, doesn't automatically make him the aggreived party and Bani the villain!
SIMRAN- I don't think anyone has made Bani that villian here MT, and we are all not saying that what JW did was justified..and where the child is concerned a powerful man like JW can have the child anyday ofcorse after it is born he can do a lot with the power and financial backup he has..but he refuses to do so as he knows that will anger and hurt Bani even more..so he wants her to come back to him on his own..he is not doing anything to bring her back technically, he is just watching out for her..getting her a job, a ride to and from work, paid medical expenses...I mean comeon he is not using any force what so ever on her..
As they say, that whatever goes, comes around one day and we all have to pay up for our sins in this life, just as we reap the benefits for our kindness in this life itself.
SIMRAN-If you are referring to that fact that Bani was motherless and now Jai should be childless..than that is very wrong on Bani's part..first of all before WE not Bani but WE judge him on that end we should know who the real culprit is..I mean we irrefutably do not know if JW had killed Kiran or not..and secondly what JW did was an accident he did not intentionally set out to kill Bani's mother that night..and he did not leave her there to die like many would..he took her to the hospital..but sadly she died..but what Bani is doing is intentional..she is keeping a father away from a child..and no it is not by accident, she is doing to take revenge..and that too for a accident which any tom, dick or harry could have done
Bani is totally justified in suspecting Jai of tricking her once more, why not? If Jai can fake his death to get her back, why can't he send her a White Sari to scare her about his life and hence gain sympathy in her heart? And remember, Bani suspects only afterwards, her first reaction is of worry and concern for Jai, which she expressed through her tears! But as they say, once bitten is twice shy, she calls up the Courier Company and on finding that the Courier originated from the Walia House, her natural suspect is obviously Jai, the man who would gain the most by doing something like this! Alright, Bani might be wrong on one front, does she really think that Jai is juvenile and foolish enough to try something like this so that the first suspicion falls on him?
SIMRAN-this part I cannot blame her for, her reasons for suspecting him are vindicated by his previous dastardly act and sadly I cannot even say that he cannot stoop down so low but yaar he did the death fiasco only to bring her back..so how can you be mad at him espeacially after that to die for cute smile
Coming back to serious matters, Bani was more than correct in leaving Jai. Who can overlook the death of a Parent? More so, if that truth was concealed from you for such a long time. Bani has not been moralistic about this issue, she readily forgave Jai when Ranvijay lied to her that Jai had killed his wife by mistake, but for obvious reasons, she could not overlook the fact that it was her Mother whom her husband had got killed, even if by accident! Bani was completely human in her reactions, her forgiving Jai for killing Ranvijay's wife showed that she cared for her the man whom she loved more than a strange woman whom he had accidentally killed, but her not forgiving Jai for killing his Mother, showed that she obviously loved her Mother much more than she ever loved Jai! A Parent is above every relation on this Earth, even before the Almighty God, then how could Bani place Jai's feelings above the one she has for her Mother?
SIMRAN-Ok MT point taken a parent is and will always be above all..and I agree when Ranvijay lied Bani forgave Jai for his sins but when she foung out it was her mother..all hell broke loose and he became this deceitful devil from hell..what where that deceit is concerned Bani's father was not ingenous he never disclosed to his own daugheters how their mother died..I mean what was there to hide..he did not shoot her..she was supposedly killed by an accident that too by a car..so why not even on his death bed did he not tell..Bani can go on an censure JW for not telling her..then why not her own father?? has she not ever pondered why her father never disclosed her mother's death to them?? my guess is her father did not want them to know and that was what was contained in the letter JW received in the third epi.
Also, as Bani repeatedly tells herself that she hates herself more than she hates Jai, because inspite of everything that happened, her heart still yearns for him and that she still loves him.......
SIMRAN-chal agreed! that is true I won't say anything regarding that
Bani has never seeked any revenge on Jai till date, but Jai made Bani pay moment by moment for what her sister had done to him! How is that justified? Jai couldn't handle a broken heart, but he expects Bani to handle a broken life and come back running to him? Jai couldn't forgive Pia and Pushkar for a "Mistake" they committed, but he expects Bani to forgive him for a "Crime" he committed? Jai nursed his broken heart by drowning himself in alchohol and emotionally battering his helpless wife, but he simply cannot take the fact that his wife is keeping him away from his Child? As Bani tells Jai today, that she empathizes with his suffering and pain for his child, but then this is the same suffering and pain that her Mother had felt for Bani!
SIMRAN-here too I agree to some extent..you're right JW did make Bani pay for her sisters act..which was wrong..but at the same time..he did not hate Bani and told her so...but he could not control his temper or feelings and let out his anger on Bani because she was always not just in his house but also in his room to remind him of Pia and her perfidy..women are emotionally always more stronger than men..so like Bani reacted like a human after she found out how her mother died than JW too acted like a human..he too paid a big price for an "ACCIDENT" he provided a shelter, food, and a job for the sisters when they came to him...he even brought them in his mansion..now they are not related to him, and could do him no harm, and he knew that..he did not love Bani or Pia when they came and would not have cared if they found out he accidentally killed their mom, what could they have done..hated him, he wouldn't care as he did not like them either..but no despite that he took care of them
Why should Bani act benevolent and all-forgiving to Jai, when all she has done till now is close her eyes towards his numerous faults and failings, forgive him without thinking twice, accepting him for what he was, surrendering to him without him asking her to, being a wife, being a friend, being a lover, being a Mother, being there for him all the time, day in and day out. And for what? Only to be informed by him that he had once accidentally killed her Mother a few years back and could not gather the guts to tell her the truth, but now expects to be forgiven by her?
SIMRAN- I think even JW is not asking her to be benevolent MT..he is willing to pay for the accident and I don't mean money..he is shameful for his act and regrets an "accident" what does she expect him to do??
Jai always chooses the easy route......He chose Pia, because he knew that she could be seduced by his wealth, he then chose Bani, because he knew that was the only way to save his honor, he chose to take his revenge through his wife, because she was the easiest available and most vulnerable target, he chose to throw her out of his house, because that was the only way to face his own insecurities, he chose to get her in his house, because he wanted to save his face in front of Massi, he chose to fend fences with her, because he realized what a small person he is infront of her large-heartedness, he chose to consummate his marriage with Bani, because that was the only way he see to pacify her emotional state, he chose to call his night-out with her as a mistake, because he didn't have the courage to commit himself again, he chose to emotionally blackmail her by not prying into her past, because he was so ashamed to face it like a man, he chose to stop her from going out of his life, because he realized a tad too late what he was about to lose, he chose to get Bani back in his life with desperation, because now she is carrying his child, which he wants at all cost!
Jai is selfish. Period. Jai Walia might be the most enigmatic, attractive and spellbinding character to be seen on Television in ages, but he is also one of the rare breed of "Heros" or "Protogonists" who is completely self-occupied and sees only his happiness, either by choice or by desperation!
SIMRAN- arey yaar all of Ekta men are mostly selfish but that is not true he does not see only his happiness..he takes care of the others around him as well..i.e. Aditya..Massi..Daddi..Rano..Ranveer..Jiggy after all she's done is still in his home..and heck even Pia..she works for him you know and last but not least Bani..he is making sure she is safe..along with his child (bechara buddha ho raha hai..bacha toh ab chahieh na scientifically proven men after 50 cannot produce as much sperm..hence less chance of baby) but he takes care of everyone around him too yaar...he is not selfish!
Bani on the other hand has been unbelivingly and inhumanly supreme. She not only accepted Jai with all her heart, when he had thrown her ruthlessly out of his room on his Wedding night, but chose to put her happiness, her individuality, her relations, her self-respect, her past, her present and even her future for a man, who never really cared for her, leave aside ever loving her!
If Bani is unrelenting and unforgiving towards Jai today, she is only being human and for a change not a doormat, who will let anyone walk over her and wipe his foot with! Jai deserves this treatment from Bani totally, because unlike him, she is not shallow or petty enough to take revenge, but is just keeping herself and her child away from the Man, who in some measure did take a part of her life with him, even if by accident.
Ok, now let the brickbats come.......
Cheers,
MT
