Chandan ka palna,resham ki dori - When the three beautiful brides were being led by their loved ones,towards the marriage hall and the lovely 'mehandi tho rang layegii played on,my mom hugged me tightly,tears streaming her face.We stayed that way,holding each other,as if defying fate,tradition-knowing well that we are after all puppets in the hands of fate and almost all women will have to some day experience this bitter sweet moment in their lives.Isn't it strange that a woman who spends almost her entire life putting in a part of her,inside a part of her and helps her grow,develop and stand on her own two feet,will have to finally concede to cutting the umbilical cord between them, forever?I think it's the cruelest thing and the most ironical thing in the whole world that the beti;your apple of the eye of about twenty years, indeed becomes paraya dhan as she gets in to making her own home.It is another matter that the husband-wife relationship is another sacred one and just like the mom-beti rishtha, defines and completes a woman but in a different way.But the mom and daughter keep sharing that unique, precious bond that can never be equaled.Hats off to mothers,who for the sake of their daughters' happiness,willingly forego them to undeserving crooks and without expecting anything in return,selfless wish the best for their ankh ka tara.The three brides;typical Indian brides-shy,coy,petite diffident things- face brimming with happiness, come down.and silently touch the feet of their elders.My grandmom tells me that at their point of time,nothing gladdens them more than to see the raw clay they fed,nurtured,spanked to obedience and brought them into being young adults are now becoming men and women and building their own homes.I think this was so true for Mausiji and Dadiji who are all smiles as they and the other spread their hands on the young dulhans and bless them with the best of things.As Dadi says,the brides really looked like teen deviyaan.It was very beautifully done.Spare a look at the ladies escorting the brides;their faces,filled with pride,made tender by love,like they have won the world cup and why bringing up a daughter is no mean feet.This scene was beautiful.
2. Parampara - And three⌠⌠âŚcartoons?Gosh!Ever seen the street monkey shows?If you do,discourage because it is inhuman and against animal laws.I didn't know that of course when I was very young and so actually enjoyed them.What was most amusing was the ridiculous bright clothes the monkeys were made to wear.Gosh!It looked like they had stolen the clothes of the monkeys for the dulhas!Ridiculous!The three dulhas actually looked like Harlequins.Swamiji would have looked very hot and happening,thanks to his genes,if not for his eternal karele pe neem chada hua expression.But dulhas are dulhas and it will be rude to be rude about them on their D-day.But wow here comes the real Dulha,dressed like one,looking like one - Me munna!Ouch!Don't do that to me -you are hurting me-everytime you appear on screen,you make my celibate heart dizzy with happiness and desire.It makes such ecstatic turns that it hurts-ouch!Munna!My munna,why don't they make them like you where I live,haan?Gosh!Gosh!Says who that he a 40ish budda?He never looked younger,never looked more dignified,never looked more hot-and gosh that killer smile!Hai Eesh!Pehle hi itne despo hain aur upar se munna yun dressed to kill hoke ata hai tho humare bechaare dil ka kya kasoor hai bhai?So sweet that sabse pehle he looks at his pretty wife and gives her the benefit of his full indulgent smile.Amma's of course smiling a mile long.Munna loves the limelight.The last time he had to distribute the shagun ke envelopes,he loved it.And today as he stood asking the brides to step forward one by one so he could gift them the family jewels,you could see he was loving it.Munna is a giftef gift distributor.Next time you are holding a prize ceremony,invite me munna as the chief guest,for reasons more than one!His pretty speech touched me and I was wondering is this the same munna who has the uncanny knack of saying the most ridiculous and unnecessary things at the most unfortunate moment?He truly looked the head of the family as he young things and the foolish dulhas,who know not what they have got in to,looked on proudly(Swamiji not included of course.He is different!).

Mujhe naulakha manga de re O saiyyan deewane - Mere munne ke badalte akal ko kahin kisi manhoos ki nazar na lag jaye.Kabse itna sensible ho gaya hai re?Aditya enquires who the fourth jewel set is for?And munna,that mystical smile intact on that awesome face jo kafi fursatme banaya gaya hai,calls out "Bani!".I nearly got a heart attack.This my duffer Munna?As Bani shyly steps forward,munna makes a pretty speech,thanking her for bringing happiness and good luck to his family!Gosh munna-cut the crap.Be a man,son and just say it is a token of your love for her.Ab tho maan ja munna.The whole wide world,excepting my duffer munna, knows about the cursed raaz and the fact that he is crazy about his wife.Munna's right eye decides it needs attention and does a strange stunt as he enquires of his wife"Pehna doon?".He doesn't bother to wait for her approval for he knows that the speechless adoring stares and that soft smile can mean nothing but yes.As he does the honors and his lady stares at him;her eyes limp with profound love and admiration,her lipslooking like they are going to be permanently curled in surprise and happiness,the JB hymn plays on.My Munna bashfully stands there enjoying his wife's smiles and the pleasurable surprise on her face,while the whole family is grins gleefullys,especially Mausiji and Aditya.The pity is if tings had off normally then while retiring to bed,after all this,cracky pot munna will tall Bani that just matter of days before she will be azad!Gosh!Sometimes my munna's just⌠⌠âŚThe queen of chudailghat;Jiggu Kitty and the mistress of vampghat;Ma Cobra stare on,generally looking (to use an unparliamentary word} pâŚ.d off.Jiggu's expression was a Kodak moment!Gosh!Dearest,I wish I could take you back in time to 19th June 2006 and though it may be termed pâŚ,I think it will be worth to have you see a few glimpses of what happened just to record your million dollar expressions!Ye tho bas trailor tha balike just you wait till the ultimate bomb descends on you.Here again was a demonstration of how JB don't even need to touch each other,they don't need fancy private places or extravagrant music and situations to prove their unparalleled chemistry.Here they were in front of the whole marriage party and it wasn't even their marriage but weer supposed to be one of the elders.Yet,for all your salt is worth,you can aram se bet ki no other jodi can come even close to them.They speak with their smiles,convey through their eyes.Age or difference in age is hardly a barrier in love and they prove that amply.They are the most romantic couple but without compromising on their dignity.JB's simply a classy affair.And anyone who's been in love knows what these two mean to each other.When he sang for her,when he danced with her and earlier when he asks her on a date at his restaurant,the whole of the Walia family is very happy for them and especially Aditya.Just look at their faces.That's why I secretly wish Bani is his daughter!Well,It is another matter that my munna is a compulsive nonsense talker and has to utter crap now and then,just to show that he has not lost his touch!A very well-favoured scene!Needless to say JB rocked,especially me munna.
4. Athithi devo bhava- So funny Dadi exclaims"Saloni!" and everyone turns to look at her.And munna excuses himself as if to go accost his guest.But in the next frame,Saloni walks in alone looking around and munna is speaking to somebody and suddenly his eyes fall on Saloni and he goes to greet her.He enquires about Nahar and her face falls.Munna uska himmat bandhatha hai.Hohoho munna,you will need all the support in the world,come Monday!He introduces Bani to her and asks his wife to take care of their guest.Seems munna is very proud to introduce his wife.Even during the Sandy Bhalu drama,munna was extremely proud to get him to meet his wife and he still wants to free her!Usually when serials merge,they try to bring in a stupid connection like when Des mein and KZK crossed over,the daughter of the Basu family was to be getting married in to the Des mein family.So stupid really.But here,they handled this chakker quite well,I think.We are never told how exactly Saloni is related to the Walias.Dadi and Mausi often discuss Saloni and munna seems to know her and Nahar too.And when Saloni's upset and confused,Bani has proved to be her strength and vice-versa Ingenious, I should say.They could have bungled it completely.But they managed to make it not too ridiculous.And gosh!I think Munna and Saloni make a good pair too!Maybe if KS and SP ever get over,they can start a new show with these two playing the main leads.I get this feeling that their jodi will just rock.Both these actors' USP is their eyes.They can express a millon things through their eyes.Prachi is more of a facial expression type.She is still young and has a lot to learn though she has already made her mark and I am sure she will go a long way.
5. Nach meri jaan nach nach - I thought the much talked about SB dance is going to be pathetic.I cheerfully admit that I was wrong.Saloni dances like a dream.Her movements are very fluid and she is a natural,when it comes to acting.Prachi did a great job too.Both these girls were super.Both of them managed to be in their characters,while supporting each other.Good choreography and they didn't tax the untrained Prachi too much.
6. Jhoot kapat jhalkini mohse nindiya churake,ankhonme band karlini - Music starts and munna turns around casually and is pleasantly surprised to see his woman performing.The expression that he wears- a mixture of incredulity and admiration was fabulous. And to me munna in black looked like those exotic shai gulab jamuns!Gosh!Just ready to pop in you mouth!Yummy!Yummy!And his wife prefers the raaz over him and he thinks he is oppressing her!Duffer couple this, I tell you.Gosh!Mami is openly making passes at mamaji through the song,look at her movements and her expressions.Mamaji can hardly believe it but he loves it.But shayad apne umar ka khyal aa gaya so he turns around,blushing like a newly wed bride and smiles naughtily,not allowing his desperate wife to get any peace of mind.His despairing wife,losing heart?Nah,she s\continues singing that though her love doesn't understand her eyes or her gestures,she will continue in the same boat.She drags Saloni too and the poor female finds the song is as apt to her situation as it is to her newly found friend and her eyes become wet for a second as she probably thinks about her nahar who,thanks to her stupidity is rotting in jail,before Bani amma hits her shoulders with hers and they end the dance on a happy note.Pia can hardly believe her Di dancing and Rano and others look on happily.Munna of course stole the show.Gosh!That wicked cum shy smile and his deliberately not putting any ghaas to his despo wife - what a teasing man!It is wonderful that they are showing different but lovable and human aspects of this fruit cake's personality.What a long way from that arrogant,hot-tempered,snooty Jai Walia to today's loving,romantic,sensitive family man;Bani's husband!Bravo munna!keep it up.So,munna is growing up!!Good!I am loving it!
7. Koi mil gaya - Hai eesh!Ye aliens kis formerly unfortunate anthariksh grah se aa tapke,to make our Earth unfortunate now?Gosh!This damsel in that weird black is the Tanisha from KZK,one of the wierdos is the hero's brother in 'Nimmo' and the other was the former Vishal of 'Kyunki'.Geesh,the entire third-rate Ekta ki toli ko la diya waqt barbad karne ki liye.Disgraceful!Such a performance is not becoming of atraditional Indian wedding.Sare mahool ki pavitratha ko bhang kar diya.Geesh!Call this modernity?Everyone seemed to enjoy it though.Especially Papa Cobra.Look at the way he bounces up and down like a mal-functioning spring!Tehro bhai.Abhi next sceneme mujhe batanaI didn't approve of this.Generation gap I guess.Munna seemed to share my sentiments.He just stood theer with a polite smile and Bani was smiling too but her smiles and eyes were only for her pati Parmeshwar.If she could have her way,she would drag him just now you know where for what!Mamiji has become a confirmed despo like us,me specifically.
8. Piya ki hokar o gori,babul ko mat bhoolna - I said yesterday Ekta is a very smart woman and she knows just how to touch us Indians who are basically a very emotional lot.What better way than to show that the dreaded Jigyasa;the spoiler of lives and a confirmed bâŚ. is after all a woman and most importantly a mother?As the brides are asked to take their place next to their jeevan saathis who happen to look like runaway clowns from a thir-rate circus,Anu requests her mom to sing her the song of her childhood;Aakhri baar.I don't know about the rest of India but I am highly emotional and gosh!This scene was just awesome. The song was very befitting,the voice suited Jiggu admirably-loud and clangy but the emotion,the heart-wrenching wail of a mother at the thought that her jigar ka tukda is going away from her forever,was unmistakable.Ashiwini is a great actress.Look at her hand gestures and her facialexpressions as she sings that her beti has now become paraya.Brilliant!And Anu cried beautifully.The whole mahol understood the pain of the mother.Too good.And it helped that Jiggu looked awesome.
9. O mere jeevan saathi,tere mere sapne ab ek rang hai - After suchan emotional scene,it helped to bring in comic relief as Aditya makes Jigyasa laugh by saying that when they got married,Jiggu cied a lot but ever since he has been crying!So sweet.It is so sad that they lost their love somewhere in between but nice they are discovering it again.The shadi finally commences and the three jodis perform the scared ceremony and the sindoordan takes place.Mom says sindoordan is the most sacred and important ceremony in a marriage as the sindoor is a symbol of the 7 janam ka bond between two people who till then were absolute strangers but now become one,in every aspect.It was shot beautifully as all the three jodis are shown simultaneously.I wish Mr.karele pe neem had at least smiled a fake smile.He just goes through the motions of the ceremony,with that expressionless eyes and that ill-humored look.Bechari Raashi.She has no chance.Only Bani Amma has to do some jaadu and I am sure she will,if she remains in the Walia mansion.I loved it that Bania nd munna do the kanyadaan for Rano.How sweet.Munna looked like an angel.Bani was again at her eye gazing session.The newly weds take the ashirwad of everybody.But Swamiji is just impossible.Aaj ke din bhi he has to glare at Bani.Arrey kames kam camera ke liye mami ke pair choo lethe.
10. Biwi no 2? - So,Bani ammi is Raashi's self-imposed godmother.Interesting!I just loved this scene when Bani assures Raashi that as long as she is there she will never miss her mom and suddenly a voice booms'Raashi aur Rohit ki maa abhi zinda hai!".This must be a super mom with super ears.Itni dur tak Amma ki voice kaise pahunchi and kya timing hai!Wah!Papa Cobra and Munna!Just look at them as this woman enters the mandap.Papa Cobra looks like he is about to jump out of his skin and munna looks shocked and choked and that's an understatement!Bani immediately glares at Papa Cobra and Papa Cobra actually bends his head and lowers his eyes shamefully!Gosh!Such grown up men are actually petrified of a chit of a girl?You rock Bani Ammma!Seriously,that's no mean feat.This biwi is the woman that plays the hero's mom in 'Kya hoga Nimmo ka'.In that she plays a poor subdued widow and here she is Cobra's bhabhi!Wah!I like this woman.Look at the 'You dirty dog' glare she throws at Pa Co's way-priceless!Cobra too is not too happy at her Bhabhi's return. Here again Ekta is exploiting the ma-bachchen sentiments.Touching.Especially Raashi.Looked like she misses her mom the most.Wonder what Pa Co did that Ma Cobra looked daggers at him? Hmmm,things are getting hot,na?
11. Park roadse aaya hai piya ka telephone,ki teri yaad satathi hai - See what I said bani is a kutte ki dum?Gosh!What woman is this?Look at your husband woman.And you still go after that creepy raaz,even after that emotional encounter you had with your husband on the dirty floors of that eerie godown?What is your silly head made up of - straw?Gosh!Bani is no longer a trackless orphan but Mrs.Walia.She has a reputation to preserve and maintain.But no.Everytime a white gloved crack smses her or calls her up inviting her to godforsaken godowns and mills,the airhead has to rush and what's more drag my munna too and get him to perform Karate moves at this age!Limit really!Have you heard of this proverb bani'Fools rush where angels fear to tread?'.Obviously not.Arrey na akal,do baar you nearly lost your life.No lessons learnt?Stupid female.I sincerely hope she meets up with an eccentric spirit and is taught the lesson of her life!My poor munna.He will naturally follow her but this time I guess the raaz will be out.Ouch!Poor poor munna.Shani aur mangal ka buri asar shuru love.But don't worry,we are all with you and hopefully this too will pass and though it is too much to hope,maybe this Mata Hari wannabe will learn a lesson or two too and stop snooping.Amen.

Raaga's last words
As expected,they left the raaz dangling for Monday.But I am not complaining.The episode was quite satisfactory though I guess the universal reaction to Bani skipping her own sister's wedding just to crack a stupid raaz deserves a sound thrashing and a kissing session from munna afterwards.Who is this white gloves?And I don't this he is Roshni's plant.She is too smart by half for such an ingenuity.This guy is someone who was badly affected by the Park Road incident and after having patiently waited for seven years,is striking back when munna is most vulnerable.Also he wants to strike only at munna and doesn't want the whole Walia family to suffer.Hence,he lures Bani to godforsaken places.I am relieved the raaz will become known only to Bani and will remain between her and munna only.That means they will still have to do a natak of being together,in front of other people.He cannot be related to Bani for he seems to have qualms in putting her at risk.He has to be a part of the Walia family for he seems to know every move,every happening-he has to be somebody munna trust blindly.My shak has always been on Aditya though I can find no reason for his enmity against munna.The mystery is not a mere accident.It has something more sinister to it which munna is anxious to keep from Bani or at least that is what they are making us think.I think,in his anxiety and fear,munna did something foolish.But I cannot believe munna is a criminal.I think Papa Cobra had a hand to play here and munna is only a scapegoat.But no doubt JB relationship will sour.But MT's khabari saya they are going to remain together for sometime.So under the same roof but the the tables now turned.Munna will be at the receiving end.The new bahus,Jigyasa,Swamiji and Raashi- quite a lot of expectations to keep us busy!I am fully prepared to be seriously disappointed where the raaz is concerned but I am sure we can always count of Ram and Prachi to keep entertaining us.đ
