The society rules!

I don't get it…. Just because jigs and jai believe bani is pregnant why are they acting so harsh and insensitive towards her…I mean if they discover that in fact its anu's.... the one who is pregnant will they treat her in similar way they treat bani…. therefore will the same rules of hatred apply for anu! Will they end up throwing her out the house…!

This society is just so unfair at times!

Well there is a difference here. Jigz is always nasty to Bani. It's not the fact that Bani is "pregnant", but it's the oppertunity to get rid of Bani. The pregnancy thing on itself doesn't matter to Jigz. If it did she wouldn't have told the media about it. As for Jai. Well it's very hard for a guy to digest the fact that his wife has "cheated" him and got "pregnant" with someone elses child. He must be extremely jealouse and hurt. I mean it's not like he wouldn't feel hurt when he knows it's actually Anu that is pregnant, but there really is a different between someone's daughter/niece and wife. The case is then more sensitive. Especially if you look to Jai-Bani's past and the way their marriage started.
