Prachi gears up for Once Upon A Time In Mumbai
Prachi Desai, who started off on the small screen, today is getting plenty of film offers.
Post her success and critical acclaim in Rock On, she is pretty sought out by filmmakers in the industry. She has now been cast opposite Emraan Hashmi in the upcoming Once Upon A Time In Mumbai. We asked her why she chose such a different role to which she replied, "As an actor, we need to keep reinventing ourselves. After my role in Rock On, I acted in Life Partner, which was a comedy. Now, I've been given a chance to act in a serious movie, after Milan Luthria approached me
Speaking about her character in the film, "I play Mumtaz, a Muslim girl growing up in the 70s. I am paired opposite Emraan Hashmi."
Interestingly, Prachi didn't know what the film was about when she came on the set. "I didn't know that it was based in the 1970s. I also got my dialogues on the sets, so I had to get into my role immediately," she adds.
