Thank u all and sorry for the delay... you guys know its ramadan and am busy with many things was posting the other story because its already done and posted in RPR so here goes the 3 rd chapter...

Chapter 3

Jigyasa was back from her party she met Jai on his way out. Jai stopped and smiled at her.

'Jai what a surprise leaving already?'

'Yep, I have been here for past 2 hours. How was your party Mami?'

'Okay, did you have lunch?'

'Yes thank you. It was delicious I must say you have a fine cook at home.'

'Adi brought her to look after ma. How's didi?'

'Ma is doing fine I was telling mama to come over for dinner. He did not give me a yes but Mami I am telling you now coming week I am keeping a party and I want you guys there.'

'Yes Jai as you wish..'

'Alright then I'll take my leave..' he left giving her a nod and Jigyasa marched to her room. Jigyasa had been working as a professor in college. She was a strict professor and her students were scared of her anger. Jigyasa saw her husband sitting and reading the paper. Adi acknowledged her and went back to his reading. She went to freshen up, When Jigyasa returned after freshening up Adi was still sitting with the paper. 'Pia is home?' she asked.

'No, did she not say where she is going?' he asked lifting his head from the paper.

'What is this Adi how you can be so careless with them. she is a girl and..'

'Jigyasa.. I think you should know about that. A mother should keep her ears and eyes open when it comes to her girls..'

'Don't you start Adi… don't you lecture me about responsibilities..' she fumed.

Aditya smirked. 'when have you let me speak Jigyasa pick up the phone and dial you daughter'.

Jigyasa picked the phone and throwing him a look dialed her daughter's number.

'Pia where the hell are you? No… come now.. be here in 15 minutes…' she disconnected the call and threw the cell on the bed. In another 15bminutes Aditya heard the main door open and shut with loud bang. He counted till five and Pia's door shut with even louder bang.

'kahan gayab ho jatheien hein manners….. aaj kal ki ladkiyan' he murmured.

Jigyasa threw the comb on the table and marched out of the room. Adi counted till 10 and then he heard exchange of words from mother and daughter. Jigyasa's voice rose above the ceiling. He heard Pia shout and then cry. He did not get up from the seat.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bani looked heaven wards. She had been watching Pia . Pia was a peculiar type. She remained in her room all the time. Bani never saw or heard a family discussion. Everyone in the house was into their own shell. She often heard Pia laugh and joke on the phone never to her mother or father or her siblings. She would give bani a disapproving look when she saw her looking at her. bani wanted to reach out to them. show them what they are taking for granted. Bani often dreamed of having her own people around her talk with them laugh with them. Here this family had every one of them under one roof but no one cared what the other did. Why was her mother so unreasonable to her children? Why was she not giving proper attention to her kids. She thought sadly.

'Bani..' called Saraswati.

Bani quickly moved to the lady's room. The woman had problems with her feet she asked Bani to apply balm for her. Bani reached for her feet and massaged it with the balm. Saraswati watched her applying balm for her with utmost care. She felt very soothing at the touch of her hand. Bani closed the lid and reached for her feet again.

'who taught you all this Bani?' asked the woman.

Bani looked up and smiled at the woman. 'Dai ma, I used to watch her massage our Shanti ma's feet.'

'Shanti ma who?'

Bani's face fell. 'she was our mother madam… she was the owner of shanti Ghar..'

Shanti ghar?'

'hm.. it's an orphanage madam. I was brought by…'

Saraswati felt bad for her. 'Dai ma?'

'Dai ma had brought me into Shanti ghar. Shanti ma took us in her care. Shanti ma is no more the orphanage is run by her relative now..'

'How did Adi find you?'

'I don't know madam..'

Saraswati took her hand in her's for the first time and held her hand in her grip. 'You have magical touch Bani. it's very soothing when you massage. You are a blessed soul Bani may God bless you.' Immediately after saying it Saraswati looked surprised. She had never appreciated any one before But this girl was different. There was something about her.

'Bring my tea dear and fast..'

Bani was surprised at the sudden affection the lady was showing her. she took a minute to react. 'Go bani get me tea..' smiled the lady pushing her slightly. A smile formed on Bani's lips she has not thought that her grandmother would change her attitude towards Bani this soon. Her heart fluttered if her mother would give her some attention she would not ask anything more form God.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All the hell broke loose the next day. Bani had cleaned Pia's piled up room. Pia created havoc at home. She was angry with her mother last day for demanding to be back home soon. The party with her friends was not over and she just had chance to talk to Kishore that time. Her mom called and demanded to return. Kishore was the celebrity in the college her senior. All the girls drooled over him and he seemed interested in Pia. Her friend told her so. There were stories about Kihore dating and dumping gilrs but nothing mattered to Pia he was a celebrity and his attention meant popularity among friends and enemies.

Pia screamed at Bani for cleaning her room without her presence. Her things were missing and she couldn't find them.

'how dare you touch my things?' she screamed.

Bani looked at her calmly and asked, 'What is missing Pia I'll find it for you the room was so messy I cleaned.'

'Shut up you… get out of here and do not enter my room…' she shooed her away. Pia's cell rang and she picked up the call looking at the name that flashed on the screen Bani noticed the joy that flickered on her face. Pia gave her a nasty look and pointed her to the door. She closed the mouth piece with her hand and murmured 'close the door.. out..'

Bani stepped out. She heard Pia speak, "kishore .. hm.. I'll try and meet you after the class..'

Bani did not like the tone she felt a sudden need to protect her sister from the bad vultures of the world. In her heart she felt the caller did not have a good intention. It was a gut feeling and she couldn't get that feeling out of her mind. She was almost down the stairs she saw Sahil walk up the stairs he saw her and stopped. Gave her a flirtiest smile. She tried to go past him he blocked her way. This was her brother she thought frantically but what did he know. He was ignorant about her identity but she knew their relation Bani gave him a stern look. And quickly went past him in her haste her shoulder had hit him.

Sahil touched his sleeve and smiled and climbed upstairs.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pia complained about her to Jigyasa when she returned from the college. Bani had brought Jigyasa tea. 'why did you go to her room without permission?' asked Jigyasa.

'the room was messy Ma'am..'

'How dare you? Why did you go to my room? God only know what you stole from the room?' Pia shouted.

Bani's heart broke. 'I do not steal.' Said Bani.

'Don't you back answer girl. Do the work what you have been asked to do not go to every room and clean as it pleases you.' Said Jigyasa sipping the tea.

'Yes Ma'am.' Bani said and turned to go Aditya stopped her.

''Bani did I not ask you to clean pia's room I saw the girls room it's messy cloths everywhere.. what do you think you are doing Pia?' scolded Aditya looking at his daughter.

Jigyasa did not like Adi taking Bani's side. She made a face. Aditya ignored her and looked at Bani. 'Bani tomorrow I want you to clean Sahil's room too and when you get time do our's.'

Bani nodded. She avoided Pia's stare. She left the room and heard Jigyasa shout. 'how dare you Adi you insult me in front of?'

'how is that an insult Jigyasa asking to clean a messy gilrs room is not an insult.'

'Aditya you are….' She stopped and looked at Pia. 'Now go Pia and try and keep the room clean otherwise I'll have to order her to clean your room again.'

Pia stormed off.

"Adi did you take 500rs by any chance from my purse?' asked Jigyasa.

'No why?' he asked his wife removing his shirt.

'I kept the money in my purse just yesterday and it's not there.'

'did you search thoroughly? He asked taking the towel and walking to the bathroom.

'Adi please..'

'then where do you think it's gone? You do know I tell you if at all I need to take something from your purse..'

'Yes I know.. this is not for the first time…. Do you think the new girl?'

Aditya turned abruptly from the door and looked at her. 'Don't you even think about it. she will not take. Do proper investigation and then blame others.'

Jigaysa kept her mouth shut.

During dinner she mentioned about the money to everyone.

'It must be her.' said Pia. Pia ignored Aditya's stare.

Sahil kept quiet and had his dinner. Anu protested defending Bani.

'What has gotten into you defending a maid?' frowned Pia looking at her little sister.

'She is better than you.' Murmured Anu and continued with her food.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sahil sat back in his chair and thought, no one has suspected him he should be careful next time when he lifts money from mom's purse. His thought diverted to Bani. he walked out of his room stood near the door and yelled for Bani.

Bani appeared down the stairs and looked up.

'Bring me a glass of lime juice Bani. I'll be in the room.'

Bani knew what he was up to. She nodded and went to the kitchen made Lime juice and called Anu. She knocked on Anu's room and went in with two glass of lime juice.

'Bani di for me? She asked. Bani nodded giving her a glass. When she finished gulping down Bani handed the small tray and asked her to take the juice to her brother.

'You give him na bani di.'

'Please Anu pretty please take this to your brother when you come back I'll tell you new story.' She smiled.

'Alright,' she took the tray and marched upstairs.

Sahil was waiting impatiently for Bani to walk into his room. He heard the knock on the door and called out. His face fell at the sight of his sister. Bani was acting smart he thought angrily he lashed at his sister who asked you to come with the juice where is Bani?'

'you want juice right take this.' She placed the tray on the table and walked out.

Bani had a crashing sound as soon as Anu walked down. Sahil appeared near the door and yelled for Bani to come and clean the room. Bani did not have any choice than walk into his room. She took a broom a towel and walked to his room. He gave her a winning smile. She ignored him and started to clean the room. She saw him watch her from the corner of her eyes. she felt suffocated. She took the glass pieces and put them in the bin.

'Here let me help you.' he said trying to befriend her.

'It's okay.'

'I insist', he said and took the glass from her deliberately brushing her fingers with his.

Bani knew where this was going. She knew his age. 'Sahil move aside I know my job.'

'I was only helping you.'

'if you want so much to help, help your sisters they need you more than me.'

He took a second to answer her. 'you playing hard to get I know girls like you?' his tone changed.

'How many girls do you know Sahil? This girl is different brother.' She said cleaning the floor and straightening.

'Brother? I have 2 sisters and I have no intention to add one more in the family.' He smirked.

She knew he did not know what he was talking about but it hurt her somewhere in the corner. Bani walked to door hurriedly he caught her hand. 'Leave the door open I need to talk to you..'

Sahil shut his mouth at the furious look she gave him. He left her hand and she left the room. Bani had to hold back her tears. She had not expected this from him. She did not think he would cross the limit. She almost ran to her room and cried her heart out.

Not this god not this..' she prayed between her tears.

First off, yay! you updated! 😃 🤗 Secondly, Saahil is a sick boy. 🤢 It's disgusting to see how he's wanting benefits from the maid aka his sister. Even though he doesn't know Bani is his sister, it's gross nonetheless. I am scared for Bani. Who knows what Saahil is planning. Hopefully our hero, JW, will be around though to protect our Bani Rani. 😉 I also detest Pia. I feel like smacking her. And I hate how Jigs blames Adi for everything when she is equally at fault or even more. I liked how Adi saved Bani, he's a good man. I adore Anu to bits. She is already Bani's lil chamchi. It's too cute. 😆 So Bani's grandmother has finally accepted her. That's sweet. At least someone in that house is there to give her the affection she needs. Can't wait for more. And please dont take too long to update the next part. Oh, and a small little request from me to have some JW scenes in the next one. 😍 That would just make my day. 😃

Love,
Dil

hi guys sorry for the late post and Dil here i am posting before u.. it's not fair really!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well guys enjoy the chapter and tell me about it

Chapter 4

The wind was blowing heavily and the weather had taken a new turn. Bani walked briskly to the narrow road that led to the orphanage. She had visited this one with Shanti ma. She knew the lady who runs this house. She had called and taken an appointment with her to visit the place.

Bani carried huge packets that contained bread and sweets. She envisioned the look of happiness on the children when they would receive the sweets from her. She had witnessed the sights many a times. For past 23 years she had seen children wait for people who bring them gifts like chocolate or dresses. Most of the dresses would be worn out still they would hold on to them like a god's gift. She remembered how she would pray for someone to walk in to shanti ghar and give them food and feed their empty growling stomachs. There were times she and her inmates slept without consuming food. Shanti ma had tried her best to keep her children happy but there were times she would fail miserably. Many times she had witnessed her silent tears. Bani could only bring them what she could afford with her salary. The rain started pouring and she increased her pace. The watchman saw her and took the packets from her hand. They walked to the small entrance of the orphanage.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jai looked at the plot asked his assistant to take few pictures off them and turned to the broker. 'I'll inform you within 2 days if we are going ahead with this. And mr. Pranab the price are too high I still want you to reconsider it.'

Pranab gave him a feeble smile. 'I can't promise you sir but I'll try to talk to the people. You do know the value for the land.'

'Yes, that's why I am asking you to reconsider.' Jai gave him a brilliant smile.

The rain started and he walked quickly to the shelter. He looked around and saw a small shabby building that read Ananth Ashram. His eyes fell on the small figure that was walking briskly holding a huge packet he saw a man come and help her she turned and thanked with a smile he saw her face. He had seen her somewhere… 'yes.' He muttered.

His mama's ghar. What was she doing here in the Ashram. The curiosity got the better of him. 'does his mama know she is wandering around?' Jai picked up his phone and dialed Aditya.

Aditya picked up the call in 2 rings.

'Jai, what's up?'

'mamu that girl you have at home is she still there?' Jai cursed him for calling Aditya what was wrong with him? What did it matter to him if their maid went anywhere? 'yeesh..'

'Nahin, kyon?'

'I just saw her walking to an orphanage…'

'hm…. Orphanage? What is she doing there?

'What do I know?' Jai muttered.

'By the ways what are you doing there?' asked Aditya.

Jai laughed, 'I came to see a plot nearby saw her and it's okay mama ji pata nahin kyon I was little nosey..' Jai dismissed it.

'Do one thing Jai since you have been little nosey I want you to do a favour for me just check what she doing there since she is working for us I would want to know her activities too you know how the world is now.'

''Mama ji please..' Jai did not want to do the job he should be kicked for acting too smart.\

'Banja please…' cajoled Aditya

'Alright,' Jai nodded and disconnected the call.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bani walked in and gathered the inmates. There were small children who looked up eagerly as she walked in. she smiled at them and asked.

'sab ko mein mithai doon?'

Nodded the little ones and that brought tears in her eyes. the elderly lady smiled at her and nodded. She opened the cover and distributed sweets among them.

Jai felt very awkward as he walked towards the small building like a thief. The watchman was nowhere in sight. He walked in and looked inside what greeted him was the girl was distributing sweets. She carried one of the small children and wiped her face with her duppatta and gave her a chocolate bar.

The children were cheering laughing and looking at her with adorable eyes.

Bani turned her attention on the woman and said. 'I'll leave now I'll try and help in any way I can Shardha ji.'

'thank you beta.. it would mean so much to the kids.' Said Shardha. 'thank you Bani for bringing rotis I was in a dilemma as to what to give them for dinner.'

Bani felt real sad. 'why don't you go and meet people Shardha ji may be thy can…'

'I did try, who has time to meet people like us beta? many times I have to wait for hours at their offices and then where do you get to meet them? they leave before your eyes to their respective meetings and such. Who has time to think about these children? Who cares they live or not?'

Jai couldn't stand and watch. He cleared his throat walking to the reception. It couldn't be called a reception A small table and a broken chair adored the place.

Shardha looked at Bani and walked to the front. The lady was surprised to find a gentleman stand in the area taking the whole space. Shardha looked up to meet his eyes.

'Yes.'

'Hello, I am Jai Walia I have come to see a plot next to yours and just happen to see this place since it was raining heavily I ….. he did not know how to go on.

'What can I do for you Mr. Walia?' she asked little apprehensive.

'I happen to listen to the conversation that was going on in here. I run a company named Walia group of industries. The company would like to do some donation for a good cause madam if you could send someone in my office tomorrow..'

Shardha's mouth fell opened. This was a miracle she had not expected something as this she looked heaven wards thanking God a tear escaped her eyes.

'Madam..' he called her. 'this is my card come and meet me ask for me at the reception.'

She took the card with trembling fingers. Bani heard them speak and she couldn't believe her ears. This was the man who had come to see her grandmother. Was he so generous? God bless him she prayed. She saw him leave Shardha turned to her with misty eyes.

'I don't believe this Bani.. you are my lucky charm.. my children are fortunate.' She hugged Bani.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aditya got the news about her visit from Jai. Aditya did not ask her anything about her visit to the orphanage.

Pia kept her away from her family and Sahil gave Bani rude looks every time she passed and never left a chance to ridicule her. it was on Sunday she made breakfast for everyone. Sahil wanted omelets. Jigyasa called out to Bani to make egg omelet for Sahil. Bani knew he was simply annoying her. she made omelet and took to him. He gave her a look tore a small piece and chewed it widening his eyes. what is this? How can I eat this which has no flavor or salt did I not tell you ma now a day's food tastes too flavorless?' he accused. Aditya looked at him and frowned.

'What now Sahil?'

'Papa it taste………… God! He made a face trying to swallow tasteless.

Jigyasa gave Bani a stare. She had been watching her for sometime and Bani had been showing extra concern over Anu befriending her and Aditya was taking her side too last time when Pia complained.

'I can't tolerate this.' She said.

'Madam I have made it like I usually make for Anu.' Said Bani. looking at all of them.

'What do you mean my son is lying?' She shouted.

Bani did not know what to say she looked at Aditya.

'What are you looking at Adi? What do you think of yourself?'

'Jigyasa please. Let me see the omelet Sahil I don't want you to waste it. Push the plate in here.'

Sahil was caught off guard. In the pretext of pushing the plate towards his father he pushed it hard it fell off from the table and the plate crashed on the floor.

Pia looked at Sahil and smiled. She knew her bhai was showing his displeasure towards the maid. She hated her, she hated her showing unnecessary interest in her. more over she hated her for no reason.

Aditya stared at Sahil he was about to speak Jigyasa yelled, 'clean the mess Bani… and keep away from our sight.'

Bani's heart pierced. Did she know she was talking to her own flesh and blood? With heavy heart she walked to the table and bent down t pick up the pieces. Sahil gave a mysterious smile.

Though Aditya noticed it he dismissed it immediately.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jigyasa shouted on top of her voice the next day. The money was missing again and this time it was 1000rs. She stormed into Saraswati's room where Bani was massaging her mother's legs.

Bani and Saraswati looked up as the door burst opened. Bani saw her mother storm in angrily.

'Jigyasa?' called Saraswati.

''Ma ask this girl where she has kept the money?'

Bani looked baffled. 'What money Jigyasa?' she heard the older woman asked her.

'That she stole from my drawer.' Seethed Jigyasa.

Bani stood stunned.

'Don't you stare at me girl? I know people like you.. you are nothing but …..'

'Ma'am I didn't take any money I am not a thief..' Bani said looking at her.

Jigyasa did not here her she showered all the insults. Saraswati looked sadly at Bani.

'I did not steal any money.' She said adamantly.

'Owe up to your mistake Bani..'

'I am sorry madam I haven' tkan any money from here I am not a thief.' Bani repeated.

Pia came into the room hearing the commotion. She sided her mother Saraswati looked helpless. She liked the girl Bani. she did not want her to be thrown out of the house. She knew Jigyasa if she disliked anyone in no time they would be out of here. This was it thought the lady.

'Come on ma let's check her bag ..' said Pia spitefully. Bani looked sadly at her. why was her sister hell bent on proving her a thief.

'Yes ma'am you can check my bag said Bani with tearful eyes.

'We do not need your permission for that you thief..' smirked Pia.

Jigyasa and Pia stormed off. Bani stood and watched them. Saraswati gave her a little push. 'Go bani see what they are going to find there. If I could I would have asked her to check her son's belongingness before she came and charged on you but kis see kahein hum?' she frowned.

Bani looked at her disbelievingly.

'don't give me that look dear go and see what they are going to find in that room of yours.'

Bani wiped her eyes and walked to her room. Jigyasa and Pia were pulling her things out mercilessly. She saw Jigyasa pull her small bag with hesitation she looked inside there were few notes a small earring and few coins. She put them back and stared at Bani. Pia tossed all her things from one side to the other stamping on her clean cloths. Bani stood and watched till the mother and daughter finished.

'I know it's you Bani otherwise it wouldn't go anywhere from here…you are finished.' Spat Jigyasa. As they left Bani picked all her things and put them in their places breaking down with tears. This was her family her own family.
