Hello!!!
Thank you so much for the comments and the compliments. I really totally love them. Mujer, the explanation about making Bani deaf and dumb was entirely meant for you. I still remember that you asked why I make terrible stuff happen to her. So there you have your explenation although I doubt whether Bani will refrain from her usual, trademark pravachan😆.
As for Nirali. I am grateful you like her. About her being in love with Walia, I dont think she is in love with him, she just loves him like we all do, maybe a bit more, right Nir? You all can ask her yourself as she Nirali is our very own Nir_jaanu. She was missing people on the forum so I put her close to the very person she willl forget all of us for😆, and all of you be careful around her, she has a gun here!!😛
Divan, you know I always stop at the wrong point. I have some inspiration from Ms. Kapoor herself!

Hope you will like the next part!

Bring her to my room! Silently! No one should know. I want to talk to her. Find out what Salim may want from her, what the connection is between her and Pushkar.'
'As you wish Bhai.'
Iqbal left the room and an hour later he informed his boss that his request has been fulfilled.

Part 5

Fifteen minutes earlier.
Bani stirred slightly. She was lying on something cold, with her clothes on. The cold thing was touching her cheek. Bani had slept deeply and felt lethargic on waking up. With her eyes still closed she tried to stretch her body to get rid of the lazy feeling but something was out of place. She tried to lift her hands but couldn't. Something was holding her back. It was now that she felt something thick tied around her wrists. Bani panicked, tried to move both her hands behind her back but couldn't move them. Simultaneously she tried to open her eyes. She wasn't sure if she succeeded into doing this, because the same darkness was still surrounding her. Bani screamed, at least made a agitated sound that escaped her throat through the cloth that was stuffed in her mouth. It was then that she noticed that her feet were tied at the ankles. Bani remembered the last thing that happened to her. The faint smell.....the moment she lost consciousness......

Bani bit the inside of her cheeks to prevent tears from falling. She tried not to panic and hoped that she would know soon where she was and who abducted her. Bani tried to feel things around her. There was something hard behind her, probably a wall. Rubbing her cheek on the surface she guessed that she was lying on tiles because it was cold. Was she in a bathroom? She hoped that the blindfold would come of soon. Darkness scared her. She felt inhuman and incomplete in the dark. Bani couldn't communicate in the dark, she couldn't understand anything in the dark. She felt like an animal, deprived of reason and the sense to understand anything around her. Bani always needed light to make her feel she was like any other person. It was in the light that she could lipread. It was only in the light she could use signlanguage and it was only in the light she could type and use her speechcomputer because otherwise she couldn't make out her mistakes.
Bani felt tears wetting the cloth on her eyes. She just wanted to get away from this terrible darkness, she would figure out the rest later. She would be able to survive her kidnappers, their torture, but this darkness would kill her. She lay still on the floor, crying and praying. Moving hurt too much.

******

Dhananjai stepped in his bedroom. Iqbal was waiting downstairs for him. The upper floor was empty and Iqbal would make sure that no one would come up.

Walking further in his room he passed his bed. Next to it he saw a pair of feet with black sandals on. Her ankles were tightly tied with a rope. Dhananjai took a few steps more. Without noticing it himself he was straining his neck to have a better look at the woman. His eyes travelled further up her body. Light yellow, tight fitting pants covered her legs. Above her knees a yellow cotton kameez started. It looked like it was made for her, hugging her thighs and waist. Dhananjai, after a while, averted his gaze and looked next to her. Her chiffon stole was lying near her feet. He picked it up and placed it below her neck....her elegant neck was showing as her black hair was tied in a low bun, which now had strands of hair sticking out of it. Her lips were trembling, strained by the cloth in her mouth, her cheeks were wet. She was obviously shaking and although her eyes were covered he saw all the signs of crying.

'Maam. He called out. she didn't react. Madam. He called out again.
Dhananjai Walia pulled his trousers up slightly, and bent down putting one knee on the ground and leaning with his hand on his other knee. I'm sorry I cant uncover your eyes. You'll have to trust me, I am not going to hurt you.'
He got no reaction from her. She was still lying on the floor, sobbing softly.

'Dekhiye muhje pata hai ki aap ke liye mujhpar bharosa karna mushkil hai, lekin aur koi raasta nahin hai aapke paas. I am not going to hurt you.

To get some kind of reaction he touched her calf.

*****

Bani was crying. She didn't want to be here. She just wanted to be in her house. Her safe house where everything was her own and everything was made for her. Bani tried to relax and not think about what would happen later. She would panic unnecessarily and on top of this the darkness around her.....

Bani felt something soft on her chest and got scared. She felt her duppatta and she figured it must have been on her stomach and now fell on her chest. She relaxed again, as much a possible.

Bani wished she could sleep. Lose consciousness so she would forget everything and hope that no one would harm her. As soon as this thought came to her, she felt a hand on her calf. Bani got scared and tried to move her feet. Again she felt this hand on her calf and jerked her feet away. The third time a hand touched her she pushed it away with her feet. She did hit something but couldn't figure out what.

********

Dhananjai steadied himself with his hands. How dare she kick him? Her sandals had hit him in his shin and he fell backwards. Dhananjai stood up in anger and in a few strides he was next to her. He stood next to where her face was and kneeled down. Clutching her hair in his fist he pulled her towards him.
'How dare you?!' he hissed in her face. She struggled and tried to free herself from his grip. Her tied hands were making this struggle harder for her.

*****

Bani's tears were flowing freely now. This hand was pulling on her hair and it was hurting. She felt someone's warm breath on her face. He must be talking to her. Bani roughly shook her head, tried to kick with her feet and tried to use her hands but to no avail.

********

She was hell bent on angering him. No matter how much he tried to calm her and tell her she didn't need to be scared of him she wouldn't listen. Dhananjai tightened his grip on her hair and took the cloth out of her mouth. He put his free hand on her chin and with his fingers pressed her cheeks together. 'Listen to me! He ordered her.
She didnt stop fighting. She shook her head again and his hand left her cheeks. A second later he felt her teeth sink in his arm that was still buried in her hair.

*******

Bani bit as hard as she could. She wouldn't give up without a fight. She would be damned if she got molested or abused before trying to fight that person off with all her might. She would rather die then give up. Before she knew it a hand struck her left cheek and left it stinging. She backed away as much as she could. She didn't knew where the person was standing, what he was doing. She knew it was a he. That hand on her cheek had made it clear that a man was approaching her. Putting weight on her hands and pulling her legs towards her chest she backed away bit by bit. She wished she could see where that man was standing because there was no other way she could figure out where he was. She realized that his footsteps would not reach her ears. Moving painstakingly she hoped she was creating a distance between them. Her back hit something and with every bit of strength she tried to stand up but she felt something hard on her head. She had hit her head to something, something made of wood. She winched in pain.

*****

Dhananjai was still shaking the pain off from his hand when he saw the woman in front of him move away from him bit by bit after which he heard a loud thud. She sat back on the floor after hitting her head against the nightstand. He walked over to her and held her by her shoulders.

'That is what you get!' He said. ' Now listen to me!'

The woman shook her head and instead of speaking to him, crying, or, what most people did after being abducted, cursing him, she made some incoherent sounds. Dhananjai stared at her in confusion and without thinking about the consequences of being recognized he ripped the cloth that covered her eyes and he blinked a few times himself. He knew them......

****

Bani felt his hands leave her shoulders. One hand touched her face and a moment later her eyes were uncovered. She blinked a few times and taking a moment to get adjusted to the lights, she saw him staring at her. He was talking to her. 'Do you understand me?' He was asking.
Bani didn't know what to answer. Yes for knowing now what he was saying or no for not being able to hear. She chose not to answer.

Hindi samajh me aati hai?'
Bani slightly parted her lips and shook her head in affirmative.

Bani looked around her and saw that she was in a bedroom. Fearing the worst she lowered her head on her knees and started crying.
If she could hear, she would hear him assure her that he would not do what she was fearing.

****

Jai kept looking at the crying woman in front of her. He could imagine her fear but after so many times of assuring her he would have thought that she wouldn't cry like this. He pulled her face up by clutching her hair in his fist, on the back of her head. She looked at him, her eyes were filled with tears. 'I told you you don't need to be scared. Mai tumko nuksaan nahin pahunchaaunga. Naam kya hai tumhaara?'

She moved her lips, but the sound wasnt even remotely what he expected. His eyes grew wide in plain horror.

****

Bani tried really hard to say her name. The pain on her head, her nervousness and the fear of the proximity of who she assumed to be her abductor made forget everything. She didn't knew if she applied the right amount of pressure on her throat, she didn't knew if she made the right movements with her lips. She didn't know at all what sound left her throat. Bani had learnt how to say her name to the best of her abilities with the right techniques, but now she couldn't remember anything. She saw the man's face and noticed the look on it.

'You cant speak?' His lips formed the words.
Bani shook her head.

*****

'Ow my God! She cant speak. I made Iqbal and Niru abduct a girl who cant speak! Dhananjai thought over and over again. Just the realization that he made them do this to a girl who was handicapped made him feel guilty. But he remembered Pushkar. She had some sort of connection with him. There was something and right now there was nothing more important then freeing Pushkar. He thought for a while. Likhna aata hai?' he asked, just to be sure. He saw her nod.

'Theek hai, I am going to free your hands. Chaalaki dikhaani ki koshish mat karna.'
He pulled his revolver from the his gunholster and put it against her temple. With his other hand he pulled on the rope behind her back, that tied her wrists together. From the drawer of his nightstand he took out a writingpad and a pen and handed it to her.

She was looking at him even though she had the pad and the pen in her hands.

'Naam kya hai tumhaara?'
In Hindi akshara's she wrote 'Bani'.

'You cant talk?' he asked her.
'No, and I cant hear too.' She wrote back and let him read.

' To phir? How can you understand me? 'Dhananjai asked. He did not notice that she was still busy with something on the pad and didn't look at him. When she was done she looked at him with questioning eyes. He repeated his question and she started writing again.

'I can lipread.' He read a while later.

'I need my bag.' She wrote in her slightly slanted handwriting.

Dhananjai laughed.

******
'Why is he laughing?' Bani thought. She tapped on the pad with the pen trying to make read the sentence again and looked at him again.

'Right, so you can call the police with your phone?' He asked her. Bani shook her head and mouthed a 'no'.

'I have a speechcomputer and it's charger in my bag. It is easier for me. I can type faster then I can write with a pen. Bani handed him the writing pad again.

He read the sentence on paper and lifted his eyes to look at her. His gaze seemed to scrutinize her and it made Bani uncomfortable. The man pulled out a phone from his pocket and turned his face away from her. Bani couldn't make out what he was saying and who he was calling and took the opportunity to look around and maybe find a way to escape out of this room and out of this stupid mess.

There were glass windows next to the bed, but unfortunately they had bars in front of them. There were three doors in the room and two nightstands on either side of the bed. Bani couldn't see any phone, or landline connections in the room. Maybe she could find a mobile in one of the drawers. If she could manage to get her speechcomputer she could try to give a message to the police station or to Anna. Without her speechcomputer she would make no chance at all. With the computer someone would be able to hear her, even though she would not be able to hear what they were saying on the other side. Bani's reverie ended when the man in front of her stood up, walked to the door and opened it. Bani saw a hand, hand the man in the room something. He turned to her with her speechcomputer and the charger in his hands. He handed her the computer and with the gun still in one hand, he plugged the charger in with the other. Bani switched the computer on and turned to the man in front of her. She saw his lips move. 'I need to know something from you.'

He turned a piece of paper towards her. 'You know this man?'
Bani looked at the photo and a second later she typed. 'Yes.

How?'

'He is my patient. the computerized voice chimed through the room.

Kyun aata tha tumhaare paas? The man asked.

'To get treated. Cant tell you, sorry.' Bani typed, but she would never be able to put in word show much guts it would take to say NO when there is a gun pointed towards you.

The man didnt seem pleased, thought for a while and then said 'Pichli baar kab aaya tha tumhaare paas?'
'last Thursday.'

'Thurday.' He repeated. Bani saw lines form in his forehead. He was thinking about something and she grew worried. She didn't like this, she didn't like his attention divided when he was still pointing a gun towards her.

What did he say?' The man asked.

'Nothing important. Bani lied while questons racked her mind. Was the man in the picture a friend or a enemy of the man sitting in front of her. What would be the right answer to avoid getting a bullet through her head.

I need a truthful answer. He seemed to warn her.

*****

Dhananjai looked at her. She was lying, there was more then she was telling him. He looked at her eyes that looked so familiar. He followed her gaze. She was looking at the gun in his hand. On instinct he put the gun next to him on the bed and touched her shoulder.
'Look I just…….

Her body started shaking.

*****

The same hall, she passed the men again in the bar. She now saw that their wrists were tied together in the same way here wrists were tied together a moment ago. Bani now knew where to go and reluctantly entered the room. Her feet automatically moved further and she daw the same men. One in a maroonshirt and on in his white shirt and black trousers. One of the men was talking. 'Pichli baar chor diya tha ab nahin chorunga.

Bani realized that this was more then she saw the last time. She carefully took a few steps more, hoping that the vision wouldn't end. She stood next to the two men and gasped in horror when she saw seven men in front of her, sitting on their knees with their hands in the air, indicating their surrender. Several eardeafening blows later she mustered the courage to look next to her and with her heart beating faster then she could imagine. It was him. Pushkar. He was standing next to her. He had pulled the trigger and now looked next to him to someone else. Bani strained her neck and saw another man. The same man who was talking to her a while ago. The man who pointed a gun at her. He stood still. Bani felt the same sense of accomplishment she had felt before, but something inside her said that there was still danger lurking around. The man patted Pushkar on his shoulder.

She stood next to the car that was turned on its side. She saw herself pulling him out of the car. It was him again. She had saved her abductor.

Pushkar was sitting on a stool, his hands were tied in the back and he had a cloth in his mouth. His face was swollen, he had a black eye and blood was oozing out of his ear. A gun was pointed at him. Chaar din khatam ho jaaye, yeh duwa karta hoon.' Bani heard a male voice say and laugh after that. 'I would love to kill you, but maybe I wont wait.' A finger bend around the trigger.
The image of Pushkar blurred in front of her eyes. Banis body shuddered and suddenly she was looking in the eyes of the man, her abductor. Her fingers moved on her computer.

He is in danger.'

Hihihihihi, I did it again, but I have to stop somewhere na? 😛
