@bhrahmaputra sorry don't know your name loved the background score too and the beautiful depiction. Loved it , it reminded me of pictures in an art museum
Regarding the episode for once I was not impressed maybe I was expecting too much.
Things I did not care for not in any order.
Uruvi never ending lectures , I get it she is strong and has her opinions but she got on the soap box with everyone including Gandhari, Kunti and the king. There is something like respectful conversations towards elders this came out more like righteous lectures. I loved her talk with Karna about the side he will end up.
Karna I thought did not have much to do as he was shot down by bheeshma, Uruvi and sidelined by shakuni only liked how he stopped Duryodhan from hurting a woman.
As far as the rest of them bheeshma was his self righteous self as always, shakuni was crass this shakuni seems to not have the intelligent deviousness but more crass.
Arjuna of course trying to white wash what happened with the Amba incident the only surprise dhritrirashtra taking a stand.
Duryodhana I would say was the best respectful of his friends wishes, claiming Bhanumathi will be his only wife, asking Bheeshma the right questions and of course being easily manipulated by his uncle.
An episode which was not upto Mark for me other than the initial visuals and background stunning
@ Aunty just read what you wrote a different perception. Feel better

Thanks for posting this montage! The inro + music of the show is stunning indeed as are the visuals. I can only expect it will get better and better as time passes.

Folks,
The things I liked, especially because they were unexpected.1) I was dreading Uruvi's bhashan - I hate high moral lectures. But she was exceptionally focussed, and sharp as a razor in cutting through Karna's self-justificatory spiels. She really skewered him on two points: the one about maryada, and the other about his being not a dhanurdhar but a daas, which were both spot on.😆 I was so pleased with her that I didn't care if she could hold her bow or point her arrow right.😉I didn't notice how she held them too, coz I was focusing on how Karn was reacting to her accusations. And I love this Vaad-Vivad between them, each standing and justifying their respective actions. 👏 I didn't notice it from this angle, until you mentioned it. And how amazing it is. I think that's why I didn't get pissed watching the scene. 😆 I should have realised. On the contrary, I got irritated with her Badlaav bhashan with Kunti and Gandhari as i mentioned earlier. 😆I loved her prophetic warning that Karna would one day end up, thanks to his approach to life and loyalty, in the wrong camp. I think that disturbed him quite a bit, but then he looks so much the same all the time that I might well be wrong.😉I did not like this prophetic warning, actually. Coz we know they indicate the imminent war here. But, A, Urvi is against the war completely (That is what the promo shows), so her reference to a war that great seemed out of place. Secondly, at this point of Mahabharat, no one is talking of a war, even considering it. So mentioning the war out of the blue is being presumptuous.2) Karna's justification for his action was really quite clever, for it sidestepped the moral angle completely. But when the daas jab from Uruvi came up, he was left speechless.True. This proves how an argument can be won by anyone, right or wrong as long as the justifications are valid. 😆 I think he answered the daas thing too. He mentioned something about wars, didn't he?3) Najma has covered the Duryodhana angle in detail, so I shall not touch on it, except to note that his Jekyll and Hyde persona are entirely credible. Here, I'd disagree. Jekyll and Hyde are two ends of the spectrum. Hyde is stripped off everything remotely possible, he has no moral compass, and in such a man, morality cannot be infused. Hyde was the man who stepped on a child and walked along as cool as a cucumber. (I hope I remember the incident correctly). On the other hand, Duryodhan justifies his wrongdoings. He gives his own dimension and perspective to them, however crooked to make them look partly right in his light. Hyde gives a damn about justification. I'd say, Hyde represents the Id of the human brain whereas Duryodhan is the ego, albeit an incorrectly balanced ego between the Super ego, and the Id.Duryodhan is tilted towards the negative of the balance, but Hyde defines the goddamn negative. 😳It is all a question of who is at the receiving end, and then when discussing his wife (?), he feels the need to stress his macho superiority in front of his mamaji (not mamashree? ). It is like man to man locker room talk. I have a notion that when he actually approaches Bhanumati, he will be like a marshmallow left out in the sun, trying to win her affections.I hope I am not proved wrong and we do not have an ugly scene of marital "rights" being claimed by force, as they showed recently in Porus. That would be the pits.😡I am not sure how you reacted after what happened today. 😆 So, until Karn came, Duryodhan had not even touched her. What we'll never know is, whether he came to piss her off or he intended to force her. Since my new found admiration for this grey natured Duryodhan has just begun, I am willing to give him the benefit of doubt. Both Urvi and Karn saw the scene behind the curtains from this end, and both of them jumped the gun, I'd say.Duryodhan could have easily justified his stance to Karn coz Karn indirectly corrected the wrongdoing he did not commit, but this argument is an invalid and crippled justification only, something I'd never get to verify.4) I am with Riti in wondering how they got Bhanumati to be so quiet, and lie at the back of the rattletrap chariot like a sack of potatoes. If I had, even at that age, been dragged like that all the way from Kalinga to Hastinapur, I would not have been able to get up for a month, but Bhanumati looks quite chipper, and all she is concerned about is that no one has apologised to her!😉This was her ego, clearly. I still think she's got a soft corner for Duryodhan that has succumbed to her anger and injury to her ego. 😆5) I was very pleased that my point about Bhishma not being able to corner Duryodhana on the abduction because his own track record in the matter of the three As was so shady (Arjun's whitewashing of it notwithstanding) turned out to be correct. Also, this Dhritarashtra is remarkably forceful in silencing his taatshree, which does not bode well for the tale.Arjun's whitewashing got its 'makool jawab' (Idk why I suddenly remembered RT's Jalal, he'd have said this in his own swag style, 😆) from Duryodhan. Respect is relative. What Bheeshm felt was disrespectful could easily be termed as respect as the said kingdom did not want to disrespect Hastinapur by calling their worthless king and in turn get rejected by a smaller kingdom. So Arjun's stance was baseless. And Duryodhan gave a perfect answer to that. 👏Dhritarashtra was a little too strong here. Which does not go well with the character at all. I still cannot forget BRC's Dhritarashtra, forever subdued and seemingly subservient but a part cunning part selfish man nevertheless. Also, Aunty, did you not feel the absence of Vidur here? Kripacharya's philosphies and Veda gyaan is acceptable. But where is Vidur? Tark - Vitark and Vidur's absence is so out of place! 😲The rest is stuff I did not like. Finally, I want to know what it was in which Uruvi dips her kataar before sheathing it again. And whether that would have any effect on Karna when she slashed his palm. Karna now does double duty - Duryodhana's bodyguard by day, and the palace security guard by night.😉Shyamala Aunty

There is something like respectful conversations towards elders this came out more like righteous lectures. I loved her talk with Karna about the side he will end up.I agree. I didn't like her moral policing, and I wouldn't say disrespect but it was a little too coercive when she's supposed to abide by the kings and queens' words. Karna's scene, she was amazing. 👏
Karna I thought did not have much to do as he was shot down by bheeshma, Uruvi and sidelined by shakuni only liked how he stopped Duryodhan from hurting a woman. On the contrary, I liked Karn. I think that scene when he confronts Duryodhan and tells him it is wrong, he was firm and brilliant. Also, later when Duryodhan and Shakuni laugh about forcing Bhanumati, Karn is visibly disgruntled. 😛
As far as the rest of them bheeshma was his self righteous self as always, shakuni was crass this shakuni seems to not have the intelligent deviousness but more crass. This is an amazing point you have made. 👏 Something I did not notice earlier. Shakuni is supposed to be cunning and smart, here is is cheap. I agree with that. 🥱 I hope this changes.
Arjuna of course trying to white wash what happened with the Amba incident the only surprise dhritrirashtra taking a stand.Arjun made a futile attempt that was effectively answered by Duryodhan. Dhritarashtra, like Aunty said and I agreed too, was too authoritative, something I cannot imagine him being. But I also think, it was because they did not want to drag the scene coz for this story, that is of lesser relevance.
Duryodhana I would say was the best respectful of his friends wishes, claiming Bhanumathi will be his only wife, asking Bheeshma the right questions and of course being easily manipulated by his uncle. I loved Duryodhan. He was awesome yesterday. 😉

I binge watched all the episodes today. As i have no knowlegde on mythology i am liking it the way it is.But my only complaint is Actor playing karna should buck up in his expressions,i liked his dialogue delivery, but he looks nervous most of the time, yeah his debut show was DSJ,there was no scope for him to improve there as his role was less and show ended abruptly.I hope he improves with time and i am liking Tejaswi prakash and kinshuk performence so far, they are too good,I like Urvi-Arjuna chemistry .
And also her attraction towards karna was sudden.I couldn't connect with her there. But now when she is facing reality with karan, she is reacting aptly, and their different ideologies making their story interesting 😊
